"Timeless Elegance Meets Culinary Perfection at Odeon Odeon, a French bistro nestled in the heart of Tribeca, stands as a beacon of consistent culinary excellence and quintessential New York charm. It’s not just a restaurant; it’s an institution, a place where time seems to pause in honor of good food and great company. Every dish at Odeon is a testament to the classic French cuisine. The French onion soup is rich and soul-warming, the steak frites are cooked to perfection, the frisée salad is refreshingly crisp, and the crème brûlée? Simply divine. The consistency in their quality is remarkable, ensuring that each visit is as memorable as the last. The staff adds another layer of brilliance to the Odeon experience. Their exceptional service, combined with the effortlessly chic and vibrant ambiance, makes you feel not just welcomed but completely at home. It’s the kind of place where the bustling energy of New York is perfectly balanced with the relaxed comfort of a neighborhood bistro. Odeon is more than just a place to dine; it’s a venue where every visit guarantees a good time, regardless of the hour. Whether it's a leisurely brunch, a business lunch, or a romantic dinner, the experience is consistently fabulous. In summary, Odeon isn’t just in New York; it is New York – in all its fabulous and timeless glory. A visit here isn’t just recommended; it’s essential for anyone wanting to experience the soul of Tribeca’s culinary scene."

Good food, nice atmosphere. The cocktails weren't good enough and over priced. Ver carta

I've been going to Odeon since the 1980s. It is one of the most iconic and wonderful restaurants in NYC. Ver carta

Perfect in every way, was in Paris this Oct 2023 and was immediately brought back there. The impeccable service and and quality of food prepared in the French style , Julia Child would be asking for 2nd's. Well done since 1980! This should be the standard of what a well run and tasteful menu should be. Be proud of the constancy you all uphold!

we sat outside and had the shed next to the building all at us. it was heated with an overhead heating and cozy on a 30 degree night. in the restaurant was absolutely packed and loud. eating was excellent duck jam, a grilled trout special and an artichoke salad special. the fish was perfectly cooked with crispy skin and a tasteful. the duck came on a bed of bohnen (fava? and was also delish. the salate was also excellent. we had a warm glowing wine that was perfect in the outside house. a special shout at our server, who was attentive, without being intrusive.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
