"I came here for brunch because I had heard some good things about this place. But honestly the food was tasteless. The chiken i got came with bell peppers and onions. But you can tell its quite old. They didn't prepare anything from scratch. The beans and rice are made in bulk for the whole day, which is understandable. But the chicken could have been cooked to order. The veggies lose there crunch and the texture is weird. I asked for salt and pepper and she brought me a salt shaker that had the holes clogged. So the salt can't come out. She seen me and didn't even offer to bring me a different one. I almost felt like a was a burden to her. Does she not know that she works for tips. She has to earn the tip. Its not a given. I usually tip 10 percent regarless of how horrible the service was and from there I go up according to how my service went. I tip 40% quite a bit. But unfortunately not today. I will give it another try and come for dinner. Maybe that will be bettered prepared."

"My family visited Ely's Ivy for the first time yesterday. We were in Grand Forks and discovered the restaurant online. We were very impressed with the service and quality; our server, Grace, was fantastic and we all enjoyed our meals! The food was fresh and flavorful, with unique options on the menu, and the decor was beautiful. The restaurant had many charming details and a great atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back and are happy to have found this hidden gem of a restaurant; it's one of the best in Grand Forks! In a city known for sports bars and college hangouts, Ely's Ivy stands out with its high-quality food and ambiance. (Side Note: they also have great merchandise for sale, including embroidered hats for $10)"

"I cannot express enough gratitude in words for the experience we got here. We barely get out of the house due to having a toddler, let alone get to celebrate us as much now. We booked Harry’s Steakhouse for our anniversary and they made us feel incredibly special and provided such a wonderful experience that it was just what we needed to take a moment to celebrate us. That was the most expensive steak I have ever purchased, but it was the best steak I have ever had in my life. The wine pairs perfectly with it. The food itself takes you to a whole new level and the service was so incredibly wonderful and welcoming. Hal himself visited us to make sure we were having a good time, which completely made the night even more special. All my friends talked about was how expensive it is and to expect spending around $200, and I think that made us wait longer to go there. Yes, it is easy to celebrate and spend that much, but looking at the menu, there are a lot of appetizer options, along with a burger option, that would make the bill more of a normal going out to eat price. "We've been going to Rhombus Guys for years. That food and the staff are always great. Never have any issues there. We go there to hang out and have a few drinks before going to see Rocky Horror at a midnight showing down the street. So we don't usually get there until later (9:30 pm). This last time we had other friend who got there well before us (9pm) and called to let us know that the kitchen was closing in 30 minutes and we needed to order. So we ordered through him and got to the restaurant to find our food barely warm, and that the place was closing at 10 so we had to eat quickly. Not only that but when my friends got there they were told the upstairs was closed as three people were coming downstairs. I know everyone is having staffing problems these days. But you'd think that management/ ownership would want to keep the place open on Halloween. I know it's a Tuesday night, but come on."
