"the dame has pulled out for a couple and found this restaurant on google. when I couldn't say a damn thing on the menu, it had to be out of the way. the food was not on my pleasure, but it was absolutely delicious, we had a waiter who never let our waterglasses half full and the waitress that we also had was very formal with their menu knowledge. if they are looking for first-class experience, vivere is a place to go safe. make sure they are ready to pay! Oh yes, always a good tip."

Delicious dinner. Gluten Free pasta available which is a plus for me. Chocolate Panna Cotta dessert was fabulous!

Cozy bar with a knowledgeable bartender! Great place to have a drink with friends. Food and service were excellent. The wine steward was terrific. He helped us pick out a wonderful Amarone! We had a terrific time and will come back soon!

Vivere is conveniently located near the theater district. The food is elevated Italian, so be prepared to pay more. The dessert wasn't that good. Service was solid, but not exceptional. I would recommend simply based on convenience of the location. Ver carta

Vivere is part of The Italian Village which is a Chicago institution. We hadn’t been in ages and it was really good. I ordered dinner based on the wine steward’s wine recommendation and it was a great pick. We most often downtown before the CSO and will definitely return

I had a fantastic Italian dining experience at Vivere, situated in the Italian Village neighborhood of Chicago. The atmosphere is both elegant and charming. Vivere is known for their innovative dishes that showcase the latest Italian culinary trends while also honoring its cultural heritage. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
