"I took my husband to this restaurant for his birthday, and it was our first visit. Unfortunately, I was not impressed. While the waitress was friendly and the view of the river was pleasant, the food left much to be desired. For a place known for its smoked dishes, the food tasted bland—it seemed as if it had been watered down all day, resulting in a loss of flavor. Additionally, the peanuts on the table were stale, which was surprising. My husband’s coleslaw that accompanied his pulled pork tasted off, almost like it was spoiled. I also found it unusual to be charged extra for salad dressing on a basic house salad. I ordered a spinach wrap, which didn't taste bad, but you couldn't really distinguish the roast beef inside due to a lack of flavor. On the plus side, the fries were good. When I brought these issues to the waitress's attention, she claimed the coleslaw was made fresh that day, so it couldn’t be bad, and that the peanuts were purchased a week and a half ago. However, nothing was done to address our concerns, so unfortunately, we won't be returning."
