"Our dinner was nothing short of outstanding. I've eaten in Chinatown in Philadelphia, New York, and San Francisco; this was the best Chinese food we've ever had... and it's not even close. We ordered the smoked pork belly special, Sichuan cucumber, Mock eel, Dry fry green beans, mixed Chinese greens, and Mapo tofu. The greens came out first- tender bok choy and mustard greens in a highly aromatic ginger and garlic broth. The dry fry green beans were absolutely perfect, tender crisp but blistered on the outside and well seasoned, topped with bits of crispy ground beef that added a wonderful savory note. The mock eel was a really interesting house creation, made by spiral cutting shitakes into wide strips. They were seasoned with what seemed to be a soy reduction and slightly crispy with a pleasant chew. The Sichuan cucumber they brought out next was a mildly seasoned, refreshing palate cleanser. The mapo tofu was sublime- so rich and with the powerful ma-la punch that I love without being overwhelming. Finally, the pork belly was very good with mixed vegetables and whole Chiles. I also have to point out that while the majority of Chinese restaurants in America skew towards overly sweet and overuse of corn starch as a thickener- I guess to appeal to American tastes- A Single Pebble did not. Being on a keto diet, I was a little apprehensive, but I was thrilled that everything we ordered seemed to be within keto limits (skipping the rice of course). Only the mock eel had a mild sweetness to it, and the sauces seemed to get their slight thickness naturally from the main ingredients, and all the dishes really showcased the flavors of the ingredients."

started with a mai tai and ate the cooking menu and was blown away. what a tasty bite. many thanks to all the cooks on the back of the house! amazingly also, hate away until the bartender last night made my experience brilliant, although I was by myself.

I haven't been in a single pebble for over 15 years, so I was thrilled to introduce my from the city friend to this restaurant for a quick bite to eat. the service was impeccable, polite, engaged and eating still excellent. I was excited to try an old favorite mosquito and it was amazing. we shared the tan noodles and they were also very excellent. highly recommended for anyone with the desire to explore wonderfully unexpected!

We ordered the Buddha's Sesame Beef and it was delicious. Prices were pretty high $30) so we shared the single order. Their website states that all orders come with a quart of white rice, however when we received our order it was only a pint of white rice and it was barely topped off. The flavor and texture of the Buddha's Sesame Beef was pretty good, I have made many seitan in my time and this was not the best nor the worst. This place had many options that we, as vegans, wanted to try. However, the extreme pricing really forced our hand to only try one dish. Voir le carte

Oh, man here. We had skipped a single kieselstein when we heard that they were only for big groups, then my man made secret plans for eating out in the evening, so glad he did. eating was some of the best vegetarian Chinese dishes we ever had. buddhas sesame beef (since) and dry roasted green beans were amazing. but the small brot, wow. in the round a large, fluffier, steamed bungalow with immersing sauces. really cannot recommend enough, especially if they are looking for plant-based options. everyone was safe and friendly. the portions are very large and they come out as they are not cooked in any particular order. very happy. come back and try the cooking menu.

single pebble is a triumph. I'm a first Gen-Asia American who grew up with a lot of home cooking from my immigrant parents. I was also with so much amazing Asian eating in queens, ny. as I miss the authentic taste of the house and restaurants of flushing, I had to focus on learning how to cook ethnic dishes after vermont. I love vermont, don't get me wrong! but there is no tonne authentic Asian cuisine. the best way to put single pebble’s tasting menu is inspired and brilliant. it was amazing and made me and my partner love food that we usually avoid (like austerity and auberginen). they can get textures and aromes that I didn't know were possible. for 9 courses plus dessert included, I feel...

"On this visit, I was disappointed to find that the whipped feta was no longer on the menu, but there were still plenty of delectable dishes to enjoy. We kicked off our meal with two dips: muhammara and hot pepper labneh paired with winter squash and harissa. Muhammara is among my favorite dips, and this version was outstanding. The labneh was mild and provided a comforting blend of squash topped with a dollop of infused labneh and harissa. It had a touch of warmth without being too spicy. We shared two pita breads among three people, which was just right for our appetizers. Our first mezze dish was the farm greens salad, featuring delicata squash, cranberries, and pepitas resting on a bed of herby whipped goat cheese. It served as a delightful interlude. However, the highlight of the evening was the broccolini Caesar. The broccolini was beautifully cooked with a hint of char and dressed in a creamy tahini Caesar sauce, along with avocado and cheese crackers. Each element was delicious on its own, but when combined, they truly elevated the dish. The earthy flavor of the broccolini, the richness of the avocado, and the crisp saltiness of the cheese came together perfectly. I would return time and again just for that dish. We also ordered the cauliflower, which was excellent, but following the broccolini, it couldn't compete. For our proteins, we chose the sweet harissa chicken wings and the lamb kafta. The wings have been a menu staple since the restaurant opened, and rightly so—they’re sweet, slightly spicy, and consistently delightful. The dried lime labneh is nice but not essential unless you prefer milder flavors. Although I don't usually eat a lot of lamb, the herbs blended with the meat, along with the apple and caramelized leeks, won me over. For dessert, we indulged in the brown butter pecan cake served with buttermilk raspberry ice cream and figs, which was absolutely divine. The soft, spongy cake perfectly complemented the rich ice cream. We also tried the chocolate coffee tart, layered on a caramel base, crowned with maple labneh and accompanied by diced pumpkin sprinkled with seasonal spices. This was the best pumpkin I’ve ever tasted. My dining companions also shared a slice of baklava, which was wonderfully flaky, nutty, and held together with just the right amount of honey. A special mention goes to the Milk Honey cocktail—a clever twist on a Bee's Knees featuring labneh and lavender—as well as the Garden Variety, a mezcal cocktail with what I believe was celery. You’ll definitely want to order a second round of that! In summary? Make your reservation now, as the flavors change with the seasons, and you won't want to miss this fall menu."
