"Troy's best burger!!! I had my first visit today, and it certainly won’t be my last. My entire culinary experience was excellent. The restaurant was spotless, and both the owner and the staff were extremely nice and friendly. The owner personally came out to check on our order, showing that he truly cares about his customers and wants to ensure a great experience. The cheeseburger was out of this world—it's the biggest and definitely the best tasting burger I’ve ever had in a restaurant. I even tried a bite of my friend's steak, and it was incredible. We can't wait to come back! What a fantastic place!"

"Had high hopes for this place. The menu online looked amazing. We went tonight for my birthday because I wanted crab. I got the Crab claws and crab bites as my meal. I told our waitress I wanted them boiled plain with a side of melted butter. I got them smothered in cajun seasoning sauce and no butter. The waitress was so busy fratenizing with the staff she never came back over to ask how everything was. When she did come back we weren't anywhere near done eating and she asked if we wanted dessert and after we said no she took off to hang with the staff again before we could say anything else. When she came back she dropped the bill half way on my hand and the other half in water and walked away. We had to ask for to go containers, still leaving the untouched $18.99 crab claws still sitting on the plate that she could clearly see but acted too busy to be bothered with her mistake. My daughter got the burger and asked for cheese fries as her side. She was brought a big appetizer plate of cheese fries and also had them next to her hamburger. They were good tho. My son got the French dip sandwich that he only took one bite out of and didn't like but my husband thought it was good. Needless to say, we will not be going back. $130 lesson. I'm sure other food is good but when I go out I want good seafood bc my family doesn't eat it so we don't make it at home."

"When I walked into this deli on the square in Troy, I was immediately struck by the rich, dark furnishings. It reminds me of an old bar grill. I ordered a wrap and soup with an iced tea. The wrap had a decent amount of meat and other toppings, but the overall flavor of the wrap reminded me of a bottle of old (vinegary ranch dressing. The soup tasted very similar to canned vegetable, tomato soup. It wasn't bad, just pricey for the quality. Overall, I had a really filling lunch, but was pretty disappointed in the taste of my meal. They could probably cut back on the quantity of meat in the wrap and include additional flavors (more seasoning? bacon? Dijon? and skip on the bottled dressing. I may return to try something different on the menu. My husband had the French Dip sandwich and really seemed to enjoy his meal."

"The sandwiches were pretty good but they seemed to have a challenge with the finer details with the kids meals which tends to ruin your meal. We asked for the kids meal not to be toasted or have the meat heated and they did both which also equals melted cheese. When we brought it to their attention they simply took everything off of the toasted bread and put it in un-toasted bread which ultimately made the entire situation worse and we simply ended up throwing the sandwich away and giving her everyone's pickels for lunch. How hard is it to just remake it correctly? Overall, we are just passing through town, heading back to GA, so it is challenging to get a redo with this meal. Maybe next time..."

"Monarcas in Troy, AL is an excellent Mexican Restaurant. I have eaten her twice now, and both times, the food was excellent. The salsa is a bit on the spicy side but good, and the chips are your average chips (not Chili's level), which hit the spot, and I was satisfied. Both times I've ordered something not on the menu but is available at most other Mexican restaurants which is called several things (Texas Rice, Carnes con Pollo, etc), but it can be best described as a bed of rice with steak, chicken, and shrimp on top of the rice with melted cheese dip sauce all over the top. It cost $17.99, but both times were delicious and highly recommended. My only negative was the tap water. I try to drink water at restaurants when possible, but the water here is tough to drink (off-putting flavor), and I had to order a soda; otherwise, it was a great experience and a great restaurant overall. Plus, on the visit tonight, they even had a live Mariachi trio. Highly recommend."
