It’s like Denny’s, but better and more expensive. Serving sizes were big. OJ was $8, inflation man. Food was good, I enjoyed my omelette and my partner’s pancakes.

Really fun diner right by Six Flags with excellent breakfast. The eggs were delicious, and the staff were nice and efficient. Fun black bear Cali theme. Would recommend, it’s hard to find good diners and this is one of them.

I’ve always liked Black Bear for its breakfast food. We were seated immediately as we came in at a good time, but the place got busy pretty quickly (good sign). Food was good, service was efficient, and overall this place is still a great place to get breakfast/brunch.

A delightful surprise compared to the usual dining options! This was my second visit to a Black Bear Diner, and I really hope they open one closer to my home in South Orange County! Don't hesitate—just go for it! Laura at this location was fantastic! She was incredibly attentive and engaging in the best possible way!

This restaurant has made significant strides in both food quality and staff professionalism. The fish and chips have become my favorite dinner choice, especially when paired with sweet potato fries! Went with small group and a baby. Before we made it a tour bus of ~70 people showed up right ahead of us. That large party was seated quickly, and we were seated in under 15 minutes. Despite the large party the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was better than the standard diner fare. Nice touches to make it unique to the black bear concept. Would definitely recommend! Especially for vacationers, as this place stands out against the backdrop of a bunch of national chain restaurants that you can find in most cities.

When we requested crayons for our son, as is customary, we were given just two crayons from a package. The staff member informed us that "crayons are provided upon request, and we only give out one, so consider yourselves lucky because they often get broken or thrown away." It was surprising to see such quick judgment, as they seemed to assume our son would misbehave like others. Despite the service issues, we felt we had no choice but to stay since we were seated and our son was already comfortable. If possible, I would advise avoiding this location. While the food is still great, the service here was incredibly disappointing. I think even staff at a McDonald's would have better manners....

We had a good experience at Black Bear Diner in Santa Clarita. It 's a chain breakfast place where you can get lots of basic breakfast items in a bear-themed environment (without all the growling and mothers protecting their young which you get when real bears are around. The portions were huge so you definitely won 't go hungry here and there are a million things to choose from, as well as plenty to eat for vegetarians, and gluten-free folks will do okay too. (Though the only gluten-free bread option is a hamburger bun. I had the No Meat, Just the Eggs Please which was a good amount of egg whites and an insane amount of crispy hashbrowns.
