Black Bear Diner - Carte

Like others we visited. Great food, large portions, great service. Never lets us down. First time visit to this location.

10/10 best breakfast we had in a while! The Best Corned Beef hash and eggs I've ever had. So good I came back for seconds (literal)!

The food is sooooo good here! I've tried many different dishes and they are so fantastic. The chefs are top notch. The servers are super nice and friendly though, if you have a custom order be sure to repeat it. Voir le carte

Good basic dinner, nothing fancy breakfast all day, burgers, chicken fried steak, their specialty, salads, etc. All good. My wife had the tri tip dip and i had fried chicken not great but definitely not bad. Servers were friendly and helpful we would goback.

Large portions, innovative menu. Friendly staff giving great service. Super range of choices for those who want either much less or much more. The kind of place where you want to come back to try the rest of the menu. They even took care of myvegan sister-in-law!!

Well, for 90 minutes before close, with only 3 tables to tend, service was above average. But that's where the positives end. I never thought there would be a diner franchise I'd want to avoid more than Denny's. They got my order wrong twice and the foodwas subpar. The only good thing were the signature hot sauces. If it weren't for them, I might have eaten less than half of mymeal. And let's be real, you guys do not have a menu that is conducive to being open until 9 or 10pm. All of your locationsshould be closed by 3pm.

My family and I enjoyed a nice meal at the restaurant. However, we were slightly disappointed with the Mikey's Chicken Pot Pie. It seemed to lack chicken, with carrots being the only visible vegetable. It appeared that the other vegetables were mixed into the watery chicken gravy. Despite tasting good, it was the most disappointing pot pie I have ever had. Despite this, my previous positive experience at Black Bear Diner in Shasta with an excellent turkey meal has not deterred me. The server was fantastic and very attentive.

We were in the area, tired and needed some food. The waitress was very nice but the place looks a little old and run down. My son and I ordered the tri tip steak and my wife ordered a chicken club sandwich. The sandwich was ok and came with a ton offries. We asked for the steak to be medium but it's thinly sliced so came overcooked and extremely dry. Steak sauce was needed.Our waitress forgot our corn muffins which we didn't realize until we finished eating. Dessert was good. We had brownie sundaes.Overall typical chain food (like a Denny's/Friendly's from out east). Least enjoyable meal while staying in San Rafael for aweek. Voir le carte
