"We ordered the filet dinner, with my wife requesting hers to be medium well and I asked for well done. After a 45-minute wait, our steaks arrived; however, my wife's was well done instead of medium well, and mine was overcooked to a well done state. Both steaks were extremely tough and chewy. Additionally, the dining room was freezing cold, and while the service was acceptable, the overall experience did not justify the high prices."

"I read all the compliments and reviews before we left, and they were everywhere and we didn't know what to expect. We heard from friends how good this place was. Well... we were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent. Our women ordered the trout and both said it was excellent and would come back. My buddy and I ordered the main rib and it was just as excellant. We'll be back. The service was also excellent, our server, Hunter was efficient and had a great sense of humor. The view of the river and an Osprey nest was just outside the restaurant with a fledgling Osprey and an adult in the nest just added to the experience."

"For those that want the abridged version: food was fantastic, views from the dining room were gorgeous, service was great. Long version; We brought a group of 25 people for dinner. Betty was so helpful. She worked with me to allow us to all eat in the dining room with beautiful views. She even checked on how things went the day after we were there, which was a pleasant surprise and showed that they really care about their customers. There was a storm at the time we went so there was power outages at other restaurants so people went here hoping they could fit them in. With that and being trivia night it was pretty busy. Jeannie, the server for half of our group, was amazing. To handle all of us and still be able to refill beverages, I know for a restaurant is hard to find these days. Very friendly and personable. The food was delicious. I had the catch of the day with lump crab. It was cooked just right. Steaks came out at the temperature requested, and the seafood pasta was plenty full with seafood. We dined at 5:30 so after dinner we were able to enjoy the sun setting over the Sassafras river."

"I 've been going here for years and while the food and service struggled during the pandemic, they are back on their game. The menu is more expansive with great options for local favorites and just good casual food. Recently they started offering buildyour own bowls and things like bourbon salmon which have been great. I would avoid the brisket though. Very stringy andchewy. The service has been great too. We usually sit on the deck which has great views and there 's often entertainment. When webring our dog, they bring out a bowl of water for him and are very accommodating. This is a great boat bar to eat good basicfood outside, have some drinks and enjoy the atmosphere."

"Worst place to work, owner is a man hater and her children are as rude as she is , can’t even tell someone that they are fired just has her husband text you and say business is slow we will call you when we need you , that’s what she does with all employees she has a problem with, like Cindy and my self, Sharyn dropped food on the floor and washed it off and gave it to a customer, their are ants all over the place in there , dishes are left sitting out dirty all night because Sharyn says I don’t do dishes, so many things wrong there that you are taking you health into your hands eating there , no I’m not mad about that job I’m mad because she doesn’t have the nerve to say anything to me or anyone else, I’m happy I’m not working for a man hater anymore of all jobs that was the worst, Sharyn doesn’t like guys working there it shows in how she treats her husband Joe even he told me that he wishes they didn’t open it up, all of them need a lesson on how to treat employees, my god Sharyn couldn’t even talk to me when I was 3 feet from her she had to tell joe who then told me, what a joke, even her customers are not safe from her bad mouth but only behind their backs , in closing just look around and you’ll see the place is not clean, between Sharyn and her 3 daughters none of them clean up behind their selfs it’s the other employees job because they are to good for that !!!!!!!!!!!"
