D's Italian - Carte

I was admiring the work ethics of the lady behind the bar, who was also visiting/serving tables. Just before leaving we discovered that she is the owner! I could tell she was overwhelmed, but I was sooo impressed. She was running her restaurant LIKE A BOSS!! ? I will be back! The food was great too. ?

D’s Italian Restaurant is awesome! Their food is delicious. The staff are friendly. The interior is decorated beautifully with all the Italian Scenery. Definitely a great restaurant! D’s Italian has become my “Go To” favorite, when I’m down at Oak Island. I feel like family when I’m there. The food is delicious! I love their Caesar Salad (I ask for extra dressing). Their Cacio Pepe, lasagna, and pizza are so good! The meatballs are huge, and delicious! I have been numerous times, and I’ve never been disappointed. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Voir le carte

My wife and I have eaten here twice in the past few weeks. During our first visit, I had pasta, and my wife appreciated the option of gluten-free pasta. Both meals were incredibly tasty. On our second visit, I tried the pizza, which was fantastic. The service was excellent on both occasions. Overall, it was a lovely dining experience with an average cost of $20–30 per person. I highly recommend the Spaghetti Carbonara!

Ordered a pizza $35 after tax, mind you) to go. Picked it up and went home. Pizza dough was completely raw, they must not have cooked it longer than 10 minutes. I had to put it back in the oven at home and wait another 30 minutes for it to even resemble a decently cooked pizza. Will not be coming back again, at least for the pizza. What kind of Italian restaurant doesn’t know how to cook a pizza? Dominoes would have been better. Shame. Food: 1

We had a party of four and unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience. We never received any water, and it took 40 minutes for our drinks to arrive. We had to ask for bread, and out of the two appetizers we ordered, only one arrived half an hour later; the second never came at all. The portion sizes were small, and the chicken Alfredo was covered with something dark—not pepper, just very unappetizing. I've visited this restaurant several times, and the food has consistently been very good. However, the owner's management makes it difficult to enjoy the experience. There's a 4% surcharge on credit card payments, and the menu prices are outdated, meaning you might end up paying more than you expected. Additionally, during my visits for dinner, I've only seen one waiter on duty, so if there are more than a few occupied tables, service can be quite slow. Until the owner improves the way the business is run, I won't be choosing this place for a meal in Bolivia.

Charming little restaurant, but we won't be coming back. Despite requesting a table up front, we were placed in a stuffy back room, which was uncomfortably hot due to a lack of airflow. We watched as other diners who arrived after us were seated and served much faster. We had to ask for basic items that are typically found on the table in an Italian restaurant. Our waitress was inattentive, and we ended up having to ask two different staff members for things we needed. The food was mediocre and tasted pre-packaged. Overall, I was disappointed not just with the food but also with our seating arrangement. The service was slow, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. We won't be returning.

The owner came out to ask everyone about their meals, and I mentioned that it could have been much better if it weren't so salty. She began to argue and said she would check the sauce. I told her that wasn't necessary; we just wanted to pay and leave. She returned with a small plate of shredded cheese, pepperoni, and a little cup of sauce, and asked me to try the sauce, insisting that she doesn't use salt in her cooking. However, it didn’t taste the same as the sauce on our pizza. I asked her to try one of the remaining slices, but she only pinched off a piece of the crust, insisting it wasn't salty, and completely refused to taste the actual pizza.
