This place was amazing!!! If you can get Collin as your waiter, be like Nike and Just Do It!!!!Also get the deep fried pickles.

Always a blast.I come here kind of often.They have a back- open patio which is super comfortable and has a rustic ambiance.Its a good option for these Covid times.Great turkey sliders, buffalo cauliflower and great banana creme pie- and I am not a pie person...so you know its tasty.

We decided to try Fundamental DTLA after being put off by the long line at Mama's. We only waited five minutes before we were able to choose from a great selection of eggs, French toast, pancakes, and more. The food arrived quickly and was delicious, the staff was very friendly, and the bill was quite reasonable (only $43 for two people, including tip). I would definitely return! Voir le carte

fundamental DTLA is one of my favorites, this time we ordered Midtown scramble without ham and banana coconut pecan waffle. Just FYI , me and my husband, we prefer no meat in our food, and so they do customize on almost all the menu items , the way we like it, which is a great plus point for us.Midtown scramble was perfectly done, eggs were right and hash brown was perfect too. Quantity is quite large; this can be a meal for two.

We were regulars at this place until I brought my wife and her parents for breakfast one Saturday. The waitress was the rudest server I have ever had! She actually had a melt down after she messed up our order and never returned to our table. Pat was there and despite us being regulars, did nothing.... Never will return shame, the food was good and the other servers were nice. (still giving it two stars because that waitress will get fired one day)

I ordered the Dinner for Two cold meal kit and it was great to enjoy the fresh seasonal local food from Fundamental again! Ordered online and it was delivered to my DTLA office. I took to a friend's house and used the included instructions to reheat the salmon and veggies. The side salads were delicious and perfect for a warm spring evening. I added the s'mores bites and they were just enough to end the meal with a touch of something sweet. Looking forward to having lunch at the restaurant very soon! Voir le carte

I decided to try Fundamental DTLA after seeing the long line at Mama's. I ordered the granola banana pancakes along with eggs and bacon. The food was decent—nothing exceptional, but I’m not very particular. I’m giving it three stars mainly because of the customer service. It wasn’t the worst I’ve experienced, but I didn’t feel very welcomed. My waitress only returned to my table once and spoke just three words to me: “Ready?” and “You done?” Overall, it wasn’t a terrible experience, just an average one, so I’d rate it 3 out of 5.

We ordered via Grubhub, but I wouldn 't recommend this way, as we never received confirmation when the order was actually ready. We were told how long it would take, but we had to call to see if it was ready. It was, but then I had to stand in a line outside to pick up the food. I wish they had taped X ' 's in the ground, as the guy behind me stood too close. The food, fortunately, was still warm. This was my first time here and I was very pleased with the food, which was in large portions. They add fruit to the meal. It was too much for me to finish, but the potatoes and the Gorgonzola scramble was delicious!

My sister, who owns a restaurant herself, and I were in Los Angeles for less than four days, but we ended up dining at Fundamental DTLA four times! The restaurant is conveniently located at the end of a cable car line and just one block from our motel, yet it has a hidden gem vibe. The colorful and inviting décor, along with the friendly staff—including the owner, Pat—creates a warm atmosphere that made us feel right at home. We tried at least seven different items from the menu, and each one was consistently delicious, served with a smile and a joke or two. The portions were generous.
