Amazing lamb shank! The food is delicious, and the owner makes you feel welcome. Even if you are dining for the first time, you do t feel like an outsider. They even have several different types of Greek wine.Food: 5/5

Absolutley delicious lunch! The lamb shank was tender and cooked just right. The broth it was served in complimented the lamb. The gyro plate was delicious as well, accompanied it with a greek beer, Mythos. Stop by, worth a try.Food: 5/5

This is a great spot for vegetarian options. We specifically had a craving for good hummus, but unfortunately, theirs was quite bland and really needed more seasoning. We paid $6 for the small scoop shown in the picture and regretted the purchase because of the lack of flavor. This was my first visit to the restaurant, and I really enjoyed it. I ordered the gyros plate, and it genuinely felt more authentic compared to other places I’ve tried. The portions were quite generous, and the prices were very reasonable, so I’ll definitely be returning. The staff was friendly as well. The only downside was finding parking, but apart from that, it was a great experience!

The Mediterranean is renowned for its mild climate, gracious hospitality delicious food. While San Diego provides the environment, the new owner presents the latter in exceptional form. The new menu options are fantastic as they are replications of Grandma 's 'Old world ' recipes. The flavors are bold but not overwhelming. Want more spice? Ask for it. Personally, I enjoy the kabob plate especially after a gym day. The plate offers all the protein and nutrients one craves after exercise.

It is not every day I will write a review, but because my wife and I simply love this place, it seems appropriate. This is the only place we will go in the immediate vicinity of Poway/Carmel Mountain if we want to eat Greek food. The food is fresh/tasty every time, the staff is friendly, and honestly, I simply feel full and healthy after eating here. As a bonus, the owner, Maroun, is a very friendly man who goes out of his way to accommodate all guests. My wife and I started eating here two months ago and we have been roughly 7-8 times since. We used to visit this restaurant every week and were always recognized by the owners. However, over time, the portion sizes decreased while the prices increased, so we eventually stopped going. Four years later, I decided to give it another try and noticed the owners had changed. The improvements were clear; the atmosphere was more welcoming, and the portions were both delicious and generous. My gyro sandwich was enormous, providing enough food for both lunch and dinner. I'm pleased to see a bustling crowd for lunch as well, and I hope the quality and quantity remain consistent.

By far the best baklava I have EVER had! It had a sweet cinnamon-ie taste which I just loved!! I only got one (which I am soooo mad about). Definitely going back to get more! I got their Greek combo plate and decided on extra pita bread inside of pilaf. When I opened the container my mouth dropped!!! The food looked soooo good and there was soooo much!!!! I barely ate half of it and saving the other half for later! The steak was nice and juicy and the gyros tasted fantastic! There was sooo much salad! It was almost the size of a normal salad! I wonder what their salads are like now.... it has got to be so much bigger if this is a side salad for that much!!! Can’t wait to go back!!!

This place has been resurrected to its old glory from nearly 40 years ago. When Nacer owned it in the late '80s and early '90s, this place was phenomenal. Then, the Moghadam family ran it into the ground with the food being so horrid that I didn 't come back for decades. Then, I tried it again recently while I was in the neighborhood, and it was very good!The young staff were very kind and helpful, and the ambiance was nicely decorated and clean. Also, the addition of the garlic sauce was a nice accoutrement to the tasty Mediterranean fare. The rice pilaf, gyros, tzatziki all have been improved and restored to the level that this restaurant used to be nearly 40 years ago. Well done, Maroun! Voir le carte
