Was nice seeing a workplace with all females working! They were so nice and friendly! Food was great as usual ?

One of my favorite restaurants when I visit home. Food is incredible, good priced for how much you get, service always amazing.

Excellent chopped beef sandwich, great turkey, okay chicken, very tasty chili, but the ribs were terrible: greasy, poor quality and really inedible. I won’t order them again.

Stayed at the hotel next door after a U of I football game and decided to eat here. Had 2 sandwiches that were reasonably priced and pretty tasty, would eat there again if back in town.

This Texas style BBQ is delicious and offers all kinds of BBQ meats, daily sides and more. We had the 2 meat dinner and it's enough for leftovers. Will go again next time we're in Decatur/ Mt Voir le carte

These awesome ppl worked on Thanksgiving to make sure our families had a feast. They were so friendly, brought the food to the car, and for 130 bucks fed my whole family. Highly recommended and a HUGE THANK YOU to all of you at Hickory River!

Ordered loaded pulled pork nachos at drive up window due to broken headsets, per notice at menu board. Got home and found NO mixed sauce as asked for. Instead we had 2 bowls of chili (wife is pissed! . I ordered the Texas Cue-ban, what a disappointment! Bread was soggy and pickles were few. Only included 1 packet of plastic ware, we expected 2. The whole experience has us questioning if we will return. This has never been such a disappointment in all the years we've eaten there! What happened? Has this Hickory River been sold or is tonights experience the new norm? $30 for 2 meals, we expected better! On the plus side the lady was pleasant that took my order. Our order, 73 at the Mt. After waiting a ridiculous length of time in the drive thru we finally got PART of our food. Sent off with a $20 bag that felt almost empty. We checked our food in the lot and the horseshoe was a JOKE. A piece of soggy bread supposed to be toast, with a scoop of pulled pork supposed to be piled high with brisket, no fries. A side of mac n cheese that costs nearly $4 that was literally one scoop in a tiny cup. I went inside for a refund and was asked why I had a problem with my order. I showed her and she said yea so what . Ma 'am, where is the other half of this sandwich? Where are the fries? Oh, we 'll yea...so? What you want something? A refund. But no.
