"I recently dined at this restaurant and had a wonderful experience. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. However, I was disappointed that I was not able to tip the waiter directly, as a 10% gratuity was automatically included in the bill. Given the outstanding service I received from my waiter, who was polite, gracious, and hardworking, I felt that the included gratuity was not sufficient, especially considering the size of my bill (just a burger and a coke for myself). The waiter had a great sense of humor, provided helpful recommendations, checked on me multiple times, and conducted himself in a professional and dedicated manner. I believe that individuals like him deserve more than the $1.85 tip that was included in my bill. I hope that the management considers allowing patrons to contribute more towards the gratuity for servers who go above and beyond. Despite this issue, I will definitely be returning to the restaurant, as it is conveniently located near my chiropractor and I now know of this charming little spot."

I have never had eggs Benedict as delicious as the ones at this restaurant. The hollandaise sauce is exceptional. The space is small, but very charming and colorful. We were seated promptly and the service was excellent. Our waiter was friendly and patient. The outside of the restaurant is adorable and the other menu items were also delicious.

This restaurant is a fantastic choice for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. They have a wide variety of menu options, including crepes, croissants, and rotisserie chicken. The mimosa they offer is excellent, with both personal and shared decanters available. The food is delicious and the service is fast and friendly. I have been coming to J&J for a few months now and it has become a regular Sunday spot for me.

I suppose my review should be prefaced with the fact that the pecan citrus salad I ordered was HUGE! It was seriously the largest salad I have ever seen and the only salad I've ever ordered worth its price $10.95 . The salad came in a huge guitar-pick-shaped bowl and my friend noticed the bowl was even larger than my head! It was. The complimentary citrus vinaigrette was the perfect balance between sweet and sour. I loved every bite! This was seriously one of the best brunches I've had in LA. I would return, not just for another bottom -less salad, but also for a stack of their thick pancakes! Those things looked delicious! Voir le carte

"We visited the Los Alamitos location this trip for late lunch, early dinner. My husband got an All American Beach Melt. It was a full pound cheeseburger on grilled Parmesan Sour Dough. He was delightfully overwhelmed! I decided to try the prime rib dinner because the prime rib dip is out of this world! I was extremely disappointed! The meat was cold and flavorless. The aujus again had no flavor. The creamy horseradish could have been sour cream, and it has absolutely no flavor at all, no zing. Our waitress was sweet but disappointing. All of our food came to the table at the same time. Our appetizer actually arrived after our entree plates. Our waitress did a vanishing act. She did not once return to the table. Our water and tea cups sat empty throughout our meal. Other servers took care of the tables to our right, and to our left, we remained completely ignored. After finishing our meals, we sat for about 15 20 minutes with my husband, trying to get anyone to pay attention to even our empty glasses. Finally, it appeared to be someone in management who asked if we were waiting for boxes. My husband told her we 'd like a check AND boxes so we can leave. She brought our check and 3 boxes, no questions or comments. My husband paid in cash, and she said, I 'll see you next time. He commented. There won 't be a next time. We enjoy the Foothill Ranch location, a much friendlier environment. Today 's lesson learned is that it was not a good idea to order steak at a sandwich shop."

"Our first visit to the restaurant last night came highly recommended, thanks to a friend's glowing review of their vegan menu. We were pretty excited and ordered two vegan meatball subs. The trouble began when we waited for nearly 25 minutes after placing our order. Our server, a guy named Ryan (I think), came over and told us they were all out of vegan meatballs. Naturally, we asked why it took so long for them to figure this out, which seemed to fluster poor Ryan a bit. However, he was polite throughout the conversation. We decided to switch our order to one regular meatball sub and a vegan eggplant sub, thinking all was well. But, surprise, surprise, Ryan returned a few minutes later to tell us they were also out of eggplant. At this point, we had been waiting for almost 40 minutes with no food in sight, so we asked for the check to pay for the soda my husband had been nursing. Here's why the whole experience left a sour taste in our mouths: 1. Why in the world didn't the waitstaff know about these shortages in advance? It seems like basic communication within the restaurant was seriously lacking. Customers shouldn't be left hanging, wondering if they'll actually get what they ordered. 2. It's kind of baffling that Ryan was left to break the bad news not just once, but twice. You'd think the manager, who we saw chatting with other diners just a few feet away, would have taken the initiative to come over and speak to us directly. 3. I was made to feel like I should be really grateful they decided not to charge us for the Diet Coke my husband drank. Overall it was a terrible experience and no effort was made to rectify what happened. I obviously cannot comment on the food since we never recieved any. As for customer service...HORRIBLE!"
