"A gem in Roanoke!. Who would have guessed this gem existed! If I could, I would come to Taaza on a weekly basis. After trying restaurant after restaurant in Roanoke, I believe this is the best. The service is always courteous and timely without being overbearing. The atmosphere is relaxed and always tidy. The lunch buffet is a wonderful way to try out some new dishes and it is always fresh. This is the first choice for my family and even my friends for dinner dates and lunches. I haven't had a miss plate yet. There is a reason this place is so well recommended, try it!!"

"First off, get the bread with ricotta then figure out what you want to order because the bread is legitimately amazing. Also get the Brussel Sprouts and dont let the anchovy part scare you. They were so good! The pizza was also very good and honestly the only thing we got that wasn't bomb was the fingerling potatoes. They were fine but I wouldn't recommend. My group had multiple trays of oysters and everyone really enjoyed them. We sat at the bar due to not having reservations and really enjoyed it, the bartender was great and made sure we were perfectly taken care of. FYI, they dont have flavored liquor if you are a coconut rum drinker, like myself. The entire staff was helpful and willing to make sure we enjoyed our meal. The restaurant was clean and kept and that includes thier restrooms."

"It seems that the choices and different dishes has drastically diminished since our last trip. This time, only three 'rice ' salads no tossed. There was a stack of dirty dishes at the beginning of the salad line, and after trying to remove a couple, I realized they all needed to be replaced. A young worker was watching, and apologized and offered to take away the entire stack however, I returned later, and the top one still had food from a prior diner. (I can 't believe someone could have removed this many from the dishwasher and not noticed it was very obvious). Every dish that should ahve been warm was not from soups to veggies to meat to bacon/sausage and waffles. I guess the little lites weren 't working under the serving dishes. It was not very busy, so these things were pretty inexcusable for such an expensive meal. It seems as the usual excuse keeps popping up: Covid. But I don 't buy that any more. We wanted to buy a $100 gift certificate for the Regency Room, and my husband went on Saturday (had to be purchased at front/check in counter) and there was only one worker, who said she 'd be busy for 30 minutes. So he left and we came for brunch the next day, to accomplish both errands. After brunch, we went to the check in counter were there were two clerks helping one customer each. After about 10 minutes, the party in front of us was finished so we stepped forward, and asked what we needed. Telling her that we wanted a $100 gift certificate for the Regency room, she said she had to finish up from the last party. After at least five minutes on the computer, she 'logged ' off, picked up her keys and walked away?! No explanation no mention of I 'll be back . Meanwhile, more people were in line behind me, and the other clerk was still working with the original party. So after at least another five minutes, I left. I think we won 't be giving any recommendations or gift certificates until service and quality improve."

"My wife is Venezuelan so we have high expectations for Venezuelan food and Leonore has some of the best, authentic Venezuelan food we have ever had!! The cilantro sauce (crema de cilantro) is the best I have ever had and is to do die for! The asado (brisket like meat) was so tender and amazing. Our server, Kachina, was spectacular. She was so attentive and fun to talk to! Also, we did try some Italian food such as the cheesy bread and it was great as well! It's awesome"
