"I have been a loyal fan of murracci for almost 10 years since I discovered it. Having spent years in Japan, I can confidently say that they used to serve the best katsu curry in America. I make it a point to dine there at least 3-4 times whenever I am in the city. However, my recent visit was a letdown. It seems like there may have been a change in management as the food was not up to par. I gave it a second chance the next day, but the quality was still lacking. It is possible that there are new chefs in the kitchen. I will give it another try in a few months, but I am disappointed in the decline of their food quality. I hope it was just a one-time bad week for them."

The chicken katsu curry was delicious! It wasn't greasy at all, and I really enjoyed the curry flavor.

The food was really good for a small take out place. Next time I am in San Francisco I am going to swing by for a good take out lunch again

Muracci’s is one of those places where you walk in, you get greeted warmly by the folks behind the counter, and just feel very comfortable in.

Had high expectations given the rave reviews. Solid good food but not mind-blowing. Katsu curry rice from what I remembered was probably better than the beef curry udon. Voir le carte

As for the service, the cashier was very friendly and reminded me to grab silverware. Since I only picked up food from here, I didn't get a sense of the atmosphere. Overall, a fantastic experience!

We spent the last vaca day roaming around downtown SF. It was a weekday, so I wanted to stop in a place that is typically for the salaryman. I definitely wanted to check out Muracci's , which specializes

Popular local lunch spot for office workers (and for a good reason! . They transitioned to take-out only after the pandemic, my favorite is beef hash curry or mama’s curry if you want it with carrots and potatoes.Pro tip: you can ask for 1/2 brown rice and 1/2 white rice if you can’t decide like me Voir le carte

Had the delicious Chicken Katsu curry (medium spicy) and was oh so delicious perfectly crispy pieces and such a flavorful curry. As of yesterday, the place doesn't offer any dining options either indoors or outdoors, so you may want to figure out a nearby park or seating quickly to consume it while it's hot!

Ever since I had Japanese curry in Kyoto I've been on a quest to find the best Japanese curry stateside. This is top 3. Actually top 2 because as I'm writing this I can't think of a third one that's memorable. The Karaage Curry is the BEST. Of course the Katsu Pork is solid (and it's THICC). The Katsu Salmon one is also pretty good, but it was cooked a little too much/high temp. But I fish is hard and it was still better than many katsu pork cutlets I've had. Anyway. Give it a chance. Or two in my case. P.S. the krokke/croquettes

"Earlier this year Salty 's was featured in one of the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area in 2022, and after trying it a couple times, it 's easy to see why. Quality and flavor, great customer service, it checks all those boxes. I occasionally visit the 24 hour fitness on Van Ness, and Salty 's happens to be just few short blocks away which makes it perfect when I 'm looking for a post-workout sandwich. And for those that know me, I love me my sandwiches. On my latest visit, I decided to go with the 'Glorious B sandwich, which come with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, veggies, and garlic mayo. The blend of flavors and high quality of the turkey is no wonder it 's at the very top of the menu list. It 's one of those sandwiches, that you can bring to park and not need a ton of napkins to get through. It was well put together, with the ratio of all the ingredients matching well. Nothing overpowering, just sandwich perfection. The size of the sandwich I thought was the perfect size for my appetite. As I 've gotten older I can 't put down as much food as I used to, and after one-half I knew I could 've stopped eating, be content, saved the rest for later. But of course I ate the whole thing and nothing sounds better than taking a quick power nap right after. I love that their menu has so many different sandwich combinations, so definitely take time to check their menu before calling-in/walking-in to order because it 'll definitely save you some time. On my latest visit, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Definitely towards the top of my list of sandwiches in this part of town!"
