"Beautiful hotel restaurant with great views of Little Traverse Bay. This resort is the most high end of any in this region of the state, so it should be no surprise the prices on most everything is 30-50% higher than other area high end restaurants. If the food was comparatively better we wouldn’t complain, but the value difference just wasn’t there. You eat here for the view and ambiance…and I suppose to not eat with “commoners “. Our server was young, adequate , and pleasant, but not really trained for this level of cuisine. Our party of 3 had the bone-in Ribeye $75 why), walleye, and Paella which is not a traditional Paella we have lived in Latin America decades). Caesar and shrimp cocktail for appetizers were adequate but $36 for five jumbo shrimp? Really? Wine prices 30% higher than other area establishments. If NY prices in Northern Michigan work for you, this is your place…but I’ll take NY at this price. Final observation is how can you have a Chophouse with no pork, lamb, or veal on the menu? Baffling. Summary, not a good value even with the setting."

"We dined in the wine cellar on a Monday by reservation through the website. An easy process and glad we did as it seems this establishment is regularly busy. Beautiful decor in the cellar, cozy and intimate. The food was fine, It was cooked well and an enjoyable evening. The best part was the Halibut that was cooked perfectly, however, the Parmigian Risotto was a bit too overpowering and thick. A different side dish would elevate that fish to the level it deserves. The Ahi Tuna appetizer is also worth mentioning. The red curry sauce that adorns it was brilliant! We will dine here again."

"My family and I were here 15 years ago, 2009, in Petoskey. We found a restaurant to eat at and it was this establishment here. Construction in the front was still ongoing and the fences around the area were very high. The pizza was very good, and my youngest son, who is now 21, began to unexpectedly crave that pizza. Now, in 2024, we came back for not only the city and the lake view, but also for the pizza. We ordered a Large 3-topping pizza with Ham, Mushroom and Banana Peppers and it was absolutely delicious. The bread was nice, light and doughy (in a good way) with the bottom being as crisp as a cracker. The sauce tasted fresh and was complimenting that stretchy cheese perfectly. My family and I destroyed that pizza within under 10 minutes. I highly recommend Mighty Fine Pizza."

"This place is nothing short of amazing for several reasons…THE most amazing customer service and people, and the food! THE FOOD! I couldn’t decide between a few items and they prepared several things for me to try-and not only was it their idea in the first place, but it was a half hour before closing. And we all know how nice it is to get out of work! It was so thoughtful. Every single item was the favorite though, the excellent quality of the meats and cheeses, the freshest ingredients and the best bread! I just can’t say enough good about this place. It was the first time I went, but I will be back every time I’m in town. As I told them, 12/10."

"When we arrived for our reservation, we were informed of this policy. We asked if we could still sit at the bar with our son, but the hostess went to ask the bartender for clarification. The response we received was surprising. The bartender refused our request, explaining that since our son wouldn’t be drinking alcohol, he wouldn’t make a sufficient tip and that wasting a seat on him was not worth it. While I understand the economic reasoning behind this decision, given my background as the child of a restaurant manager and my years of experience waiting tables and bartending, I still found it troubling. It made me wonder how the bartender could decide our drinking habits or how much we might tip. This approach doesn’t reflect well on the business, and we weren’t provided with any alternative options. I genuinely hope you can improve your reservation system and better train your staff on how to treat customers. I attempted to resolve this issue by emailing the restaurant before sharing my experience on social media, but after five days of no response, I felt compelled to share my thoughts publicly. On a positive note, we ended up having a fantastic meal at City Park Grill, where the service was exemplary. We left a 30% tip on our bill, which included drinks, appetizers, meals, and desserts."
