"Went here at 9pm on a Saturday night with two friends. Ordered 3 beers totaling $20.90. Paid with $30 cash and the bartender took my money and didn’t give me any change. When I asked for my $9.10 change (with full intentions of tipping on the 3 beers we ordered) the (drunk) bartender went back to the register and got a $10 bill and slammed it on the bar in front of me and yelled in front of everyone “here you go, princess!” Apparently he thought he deserved a $10 (50 tip on a check for three beers. I’ve been in the service industry for 15 years. This place deserves 0% gratuity for customer service. Would not recommend. Take your business elsewhere."

The restaurant has new owners but it still remains excellent. It is located on an eastbound one-way street, so it is easily accessible by cab.

I traveled all the way from Vermont and I absolutely adore this outdoor terrace, the mixed drinks offered during happy hour, and the incredible selection at the bar.

The service at this restaurant is extremely friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. I visited twice and loved the artwork on display. The burger was delicious and they even offered to cook the meat rare, which is a rare find in most places. Voir le carte

A friend and I got a drink and some dinner at this location recently and we were very happy about the service. Unfortunately the food did not match. We both ordered a fried chicken sandwich and were extremely upset. We relayed our disappointment to the manager and he seemed receptive.

I usually don't write Google reviews, but I had to share my experience. I work nearby and sometimes grab lunch from this place. Their spicy chicken sandwich with truffle fries is amazing. The atmosphere is also great, I even had a drink there. It's a classic spot in the city and I'm glad they're back! Voir le carte

Drinks were good. Food took way too long for a simple burger, fries and mozzarella sticks. There only two other customers when we got there. The cheese wasn’t even melted onthe burger, the buns were burnt and mozzarella sticks didn’t even have mozzarella in them.Only came here cause Stans was closed. Next time I’ll just wait till theyopen. Server was nice

At first glance, the term "dive bar" may not sound appealing. However, this hidden gem is a must-visit. The food, including the Beyond Burger I had, was delicious. The service was quick and friendly, and the location is convenient to all attractions. The beer selection was also good. My only complaint is that they don't sell T-shirts, as I would love a souvenir from this awesome spot.

"This place really helped me adjust. I later learned that people gravitate towards certain bars, and I found my favorites, especially those with live music like Birchmere, Black Cat, 9:30 Club, Lincoln, Capital One Arena, and even the now-closed O'Shaughnessy's and Rock & Roll Hotel. One of my most memorable experiences was running into Rory Sheridan on one of my first visits. He was launching his DC music campaign back then and was part of Loud Boyz. We chatted a few times, and I even caught up with some old classmates. Another highlight was when I heard about a “reunion” night before Thanksgiving, and I decided to crash it. There were moments where people could be unkind or I felt out of place, but I was given some guidance on where I would fit in better, without the unnecessary drama. Being in Old Town, I was familiar with nearby schools like West Potomac, Mount Vernon, and Bishop Ireton. During my visits, I would often take an Alexandria cab or use Metro Access, being discreet about my disability since I felt embarrassed at times. Being a regular meant navigating the tourist scene, and there were people who seemed territorial about the place, but I ended up doing quite well when I sold my house. Good times continued with events like watching RG3 play for the Redskins or meetups organized by JT. I enjoyed New Year’s celebrations and weekend outings. I also frequented other establishments like Flying Fish before it closed, and O'Shaughnessy's before I decided to stop drinking. This is a sports bar located near a bicycle shop, close to the Ben & Jerry's I used to work at, along with many other walkable bars for bar hopping, like Union Street Pub and Fish Market. It can be a great place to have fun, but with the good comes some downsides. Overall, I felt well-hosted and respected here, despite some things I was not initially aware of or didn’t want to uncover."
