"I had a delightful breakfast at this restaurant. I enjoyed a pair of light and fluffy scrambled eggs, accompanied by some excellent rye toast. The coffee at Owens is also really good, which I appreciate. While I was checking out, I noticed some beautifully handcrafted cakes for sale—there were all sorts: cherry, blueberry, blackberry, peach, apple, and coconut. I couldn't resist taking three home with me! The staff were all fantastic, and I will definitely be returning."

"Food was not good; the jumbo scallops are not jumbo. The scallops were nasty, the catfish was disgusting and completely inedible. Member of our party got food poisoning, and management did not care when I called back. I called back the next day to explain the food poisoning, and was told I would receive a call back around 5 from a supervisor. At 7 I still did not receive a call so I called back. The manager I eventually spoke to was rude on the phone and the service was abysmally poor. Waiter was ok, but the food was terrible, food took forever to come out and the manager I spoke with on the phone was rude, unfortunately I do not remember the managers name. Prices were also high, however I will say the view was good. I highly recommend you do not come here, unless of course you like food poisoning and nasty food!"

"Just want to give roses where and when roses are due. My husband and I just returned from lunch at the Captain 's Galley. We had friends that, for a long time, have told us how good the salt and pepper catfish is here and today they took us out to try it for ourselves. I will also say that my neighbor is quite the connoisseur of good food. He says you really must give a dining place at least three chances (learned this from his father) before you pass judgment. He is a man that really loves to eat and wants a good meal for what he pays. When we got to the restaurant, it was not busy. We also went on a Tuesday but it was before late afternoon I guess closer to 3:00. We were greeted and seated immediately. They first put us at a booth but graciously allowed us to choose a table for more armroom. They took our drink orders and returned quickly and left a bowl of hush puppies that were delicious. We ordered blooming onion to nibble before the meal and it was great. The waitress was wonderful and so obliging. The restaurant had a delightful ambiance. We sat and talked and nibbled on the onion. Our food came out without much delay. Move over blooming onion. Our friends were both waiting to get our opinion we just wanted to enjoy the bites of fish, baked potato and cole slaw. I had told my neighbor I would beat him up if it wasn 't as good as he said. He did not lie it was delicious. The meal had five very large catfish fillets that were cooked to almost heavenly perfection. We really have never tasted better. My husband 's mother could not have done a better job. We each came home with leftovers. My husband and I agree with our friends. No complaints just thanks. Sincerely and hope to eat there again soon. Linda and Don"

"To start, there were no kid-friendly drink options available—no lemonade, juice, or even milk. When we asked our server for her favorite dish, she mentioned that the meats are smoked in-house, which sounded promising. We decided to order a cowboy steak cooked rare for $35 and a 6 oz sirloin cooked medium rare for $17. Unfortunately, the cowboy steak was extremely unevenly cooked, with a good portion being overdone and closer to well-done than rare. My sirloin was disappointingly flavorless; it was by far the blandest and toughest steak I’ve ever encountered. Overall, it was an easy decision for us to skip returning."

"Terrible service and unfriendly staff. Have never waited so long for ?fast food?. The young woman, Hope, who was taking orders inside didn?t communicate with any of the guests about their orders not even when their orders were ready. When I suggested shetell people when their orders were ready she simple rolled her eyes and turned her back on me. Don?t know who owns thisfranchise or who the manager was on duty on Saturday, September 10th at around 10:15am but they should be aware there were abunch of unhappy customers inside all making comments about the service."
