"The food just isn't what it used to be. This restaurant has gone through three different owners, and the menudo tasted like it had been left out and then reheated. The color was also unusual; it had an orange tint instead of the traditional appearance. We really enjoyed it when it was owned by Don Juan."

I had my first visit to this restaurant, and the tacos were amazing! The homemade tortillas really made a difference. The menudo was absolutely worth the wait. I will definitely be returning!

We dined at this restaurant for lunch and received a menu with outdated prices, which was quite frustrating. It's disappointing that they haven't made the necessary updates. In the end, we spent $50 on three small quesadillas, two gorditas, one torta, and five drinks.

"Food good. Location good. Service good. BUT, the hidden charges REALLY ruined an otherwise nice experience. Example: HH menu lists Martinis as a $3 upcharge to the $7 base charge. Fair enough. Bombay is a listed alcohol; requested. When the bill was returned I was charged for a Bombay Sapphire which is not on the HH list. Charge? $11 $3. I asked for Bombay, not Bombay Sapphire. Waiter: Oh, let me look into that. AND, by the way Blue Cheese olives? Extra $1. REALLY? I 've NEVER paid extra for BC olives ANYWHERE. AND the confusing menus that a dish as including an extra sauce, [and I don 't recall the exact language but it made it seem that an additional items could be selected as well. Oops, there goes an extra $10.95. AND, the waiter recommending a twice-baked potato. Bah, boom, another $5.95. [which in fairness is disclosed on the menu in a different location, but waiter made it sound as if it was a no-charge option on the surf and turf. AND the split plate charge which I don 't think was disclosed on the menu. Ding, ding, extra $3.00. Was this a waiter, who was overly up-selling or restaurant deception? Don 't know. As I said, the food WAS good. AND, the ambience [at least in the bar area, stay away of the hotel-ballroom-like main dining area was nice. Just beware the nickel and dime charges that the waiter won 't be disclosing to you."
