The Local - Carte

Great restaurant. Everything we ordered was great. We look forward to trying a lot of other items on the menu in the future. The staff was just what you'd expect in downtown Boone. Everyone was very friendly and made sure we didn't need anything the whole time.

I've never had a bad meal here. The kitchen has always done a great job. Their food so good, presentation always on point. Service is been good mainly from female severs and bartenders. There was a guy that served us at some point, long hair possibly? Not sure, he forgot a couple of things we ordered he didn't use a notepad. Other than that we love you guys,

Everyone in my group of 11 people absolutely loved the food here! I got a margarita pizza and it was better than some pizzas I’ve had in Italy! My sister who is a steak lover ordered a steak and said that this restaurant is in her top 5! Definitely great food overall! I do wish the menu was easier to look at, it’s digital so it was difficult for my grandparents. Voir le carte

This place has a fun atmosphere. The staff is friendly, helpful, and hard working. Not pictured was the Banhmi —— I highly recommend! It was one of the best I had. The truffle fries, Cesar salad, and Korean tacos are excellent. I was not impressed with the Mac and cheese. Our friend ordered the burger and he said it was perfect. The cocktails were fun and creative.

Best fish n chips I might have ever had. The tarter sauce was beyond amazing and hands down the best tarter sauce I have ever had by far. My kids loved their flat bread pizzas and my wife had the pork lion and she said it was the best pork she has ever eaten. We are here from out of town and will most likely skip trying anything else and just go back here tomorrow.

This was my second time eating here and I have loved everything I’ve tried. The first visit we had the pulled pork nachos and margarita flatbread- both delicious! This visit we had the cheese curds, flatbread again and the fried green tomato BLT- again delicious! Great service, friendly faces, nice atmosphere and quick service. Highly recommend checking this restaurant out! Can’t wait to make another trip to Boone and try another item on the menu. Voir le carte

Originally, we had planned to go to another area restaurant for dinner, but they were unexpectedly closing early. As we wandered around town, we stumbled upon The Local. Though we hadn't made it to eat there, it had been highly recommended to us during our last trip to Boone. We were seated right away, and our server was very friendly. We all had various draft beers and the pesto flatbread as an appetizer. For dinner, I had the blackened goat cheese burger with brussel sprouts. It was all excellent. I'll definitely be back if we're in the area again.

Food was pretty good. The inside seating was absolutely horrible. We were in arms length to the people sitting beside us. Of course both sides kept staring and commenting on our food. It was almost like we were at the table with strangers, absolutely no privacy and any conversation was heard by all. We were one of the first people in the restaurant, and out of all the open seats in the restaurant, the next few guest were seated at the tables right beside us. The seating ruined the taste of the food. Nothing like someone you don't know 3 feet from your face while your trying to take a bite of your food. Really irritating. I was very impressed with Laura and how she described how lovingly she makes their **** Mary mix. Now I love a good **** Mary. I don’t think I’ve ever had one this good before. She started off telling me a few ingredients that she emulsifies like tomatoes, roasted red peppers, jalapeños, pickles with juice, etc. The next visit to my table, I asked her a little bit more like are the normal things in the mix like horseradish and Worcestershire and she said yes and listed off a few more ingredients. It was without a doubt, the best **** Mary I’ve ever had. The food was fantastic too. I started with the cheese curds coated with Parmesan cheese and fried. Of course they were fabulous.
