"Wow oh wow, what a fabulous meal! My friend had the paella and I had the duck confit both were unforgettable. We barely spoke because the food was so good. The cherry demi glacé on the duck is HEAVEN. The fried oysters were tasty and fresh. However, the desserts (crème brûlée, bread pudding, and cognac) were the perfect end to this special meal. Aside from great food, the ambience is cozy and fun. Also, our server was great. He was personable, helped answer questions, and gave great recommendations. Don’t miss this place!"

Fantastic food and service. If you're in La Conner, The Oyster and Thistle is a must stop. FYI, they don't have a fryer, and I find that to be FANTASTIC

Excellent service, exquisite food and warm atmosphere. The music in the background was perfect for the setting. First time here for our anniversary but certainly not our last.

My date had a dozen raw oysters and I had the filet and shrimp. These entrées were delicious as expected, but the desserts were stellar. Hers was tiramisu, mine was a bread pudding with a sumptuous caramel sauce...to die for.

Fantastic! High end place, small and beautiful. The staff and food are amazing! Highly recommend. Pricing is about $50-$100 per person, depending on plate and drinks. (Review from 1-16-2022) reserving a table costs $50, but will be applied to you bill, as long as you actually show up. Voir le carte

What a fantastic take on classic French cuisine set against the backdrop of Pacific Northwest seafood and Skagit Valley produce and meats. My wife and I love to stay in the La Conner Country Inn and walk over to the Oyster and Thistle after a day around the village. Very highly recommended.

We got here not knowing there was going to be a parade. They sat us by the window looking down at the parade as it went by. We ordered the dishes recommended by the staff. They were all excellent. The seafood was fresh. The scallop risotto was amazing. Everything came out perfectly. We really enjoyed it.

Went to the Tulip festival, then decided to get some lunch and I'm glad I came across this biblical treasure. The food here is absolutely amazing (so, good it's sinful) from the courses to the desert, they cannot do no wrong. In addition, the waiter who is also a phenomenal bartender, knows how to make unique drinks well mixed cocktails just by saying the type of alcohol you want. Definitely coming back soon. I took my spouse here for his birthday this evening with a couple of friends. We sat in the pub and Kyle was the bartender server. Kyle is awesome. He made us cocktails according to our preferred flavor profiles and was fun and sociable but not overbearing. We were all impressed with our meals (paella, beef, scallops, cod, mussels) and dessert was perfect. Thank you to Kyle and the Oyster Thistle for making my spouse's birthday just perfect!

Oyster Thistle is one of my favorite places to eat in La Conner. You can choose either the elegant upstairs restaurant or the cozy downstairs pub, with dark wood finishes and some fun little nooks crannies. The menu offers some wonderful choices... I've never had a bad meal here. Favorites include the baked or fried oyster appetizers, the Northwest Seafood Stew, the French Onion Soup, and if you're really hungry the rich and delicious Pan-Fried Oyster Fettucini. You can't go wrong here!

"My husband and I are locals and we invited friends out for dinner last night. I have never been so embarrassed in my life. What happened to this place? You do realize you 1 job is to provide great customer service and make sure your guests enjoy their experience, right? We had 5:15 reservations so we happened to all arrive separately. None of us had a great experience with the hostesses. That is your first impression. The red hair girl wearing a crop top after walking up while I was standing there never acknowledging me for over 5 minutes. No hi I will be right with you nothing. Obviously avoiding eye contact. Another girl came back after helping someone else decided to acknowledge me and the girl with red hair let me know she wasn't ignoring me...uh ok. Like I said we had resvations but yet when my husband decided he wanted a seat outside he was told he would have to wait and then a walk in couple came in and was sat immediately. After he was finally sat he tried to tilt the umbrella, he didn't want the sun blazing in his eyes but the waitress was quick to scold him. She told him she walked in to it last week and poked her eye he could not have any shade on a 75 degree day. When the table next to us tilted their umbrella she didn't make a comment to them. My Morel pasta was blan and only tastes like raw asparagus. As a vegetarian I love vegetables, it was terrible I didn't even finish it. The Pesto pasta my friend had was delicious. My husband liked his food and I think our friends liked theirs. Our waitress brought over the desert menu prematurity and then didn't ask of we were ready for the bill, just brought it over apparently she was ready for us to go. You have a prime location on the water people want to eat here treat them with more respect. We wanted to spend our money here you don't have the best food in La Conner. Just be nice. We left a tip but remember they are earn not mandatory. I worked in this industry so I know first hand you have good days bad days. If you don't like it anymore do what I did and do something about it make a change don't take it out on your customers."

"We were in La Conner for a long weekend and checked out COA for some Mexican food and tequila. The atmosphere is great and the vibe really adds to the delicious food and drinks. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful about the area, the foodand drinks were good enough that we came back a second time over the weekend just to have some more! Outdoor patio is AWESOMElots of tables with ???? We had: Molcajete- which I highly recommend especially for a couple to share, the meat was deliciousand juicy and the variety and quantity is plenty for two people, was also served with rice, beans and veggies. Ceviche -definitely grab some of this, a perfect appetizer and or snack to go with the variety of drinks. Chile relleno- great flavor, breading was light. I really enjoy the way they serve up beans and rice, beans are especially tasty, don?t get me wrong I haveno issue with refried beans but the whole beans are especially good. Enchiladas- the ability to mix and match meats was cooland allowed for some variety without having to order multiple dishes, the green sauce on them was especially delicious. Drinks-we had a BUNCH! I love tequila bars and when combined with a great taqueria you know it?s on! Jalapeño margarita was large andtasty, Paloma was a hit, strawberry margarita and Michelada all hit the spot. Almost all drinks had a Chile/tajin rim which Idefinitely prefer over salt, and the tequila options are plentiful especially with regards to Anejo and reposado! I willdefinitely be going back anytime I?m staying up north, plus this place was walking distance to downtown and our hotel so noworries enjoying the tequila options! Thank you to the COA staff!"
