"My first visit to celebrate my anniversary in January was spot on. The food was so good that I could not wait to return for the same exact meal. Therefore l, we brought my best friend and her husband to celebrate her birthday our gift to her. However, my food was not good at all. The shrimp wrapped in bacon was dry and overcooked, the grilled chicken was too charred (all I tasted was burnt tasting, and the cowboy queso (which we loved the last time, literally had no steak). The best part of my meal was the ginger ale. I did not share my disappointment in the food with our waitress because we were there to celebrate my friend’s birthday. She and her husband ordered the same thing I had they appeared to enjoy it, however, they would probably not tell us that their food was lackluster as to not hurt our feelings since we’ve raved about your restaurant for so long. We did have the chocolate piñata which hopefully made up for had poorly tasting the food was. Because we spent roughly $200, it would have been great leaving having had a wonderful, tasteful meal, but that just was not the case, unfortunately."

I am 39 and must say that onkel julio has the best guacamole and frozen strawberry margaritas I have ever had.

The chocolate pinata is ALWAYS a hit and fun! The tuna tacos are a little spicy....will order them over and over!

The food was just okay; it felt a bit generic and lacked the vibrant flavors typically associated with Mexican cuisine. Voir le carte

Good food but too pricey. Service was slow. Took 30 minutes to have our order taken. Music was too loud. We had ask twice to have it lowered. Chocolate piñata was great. I would only recommend for special occasions.

Food was good, I feel like the service was rushed. I had a free table side guacamole from signing up but it wasn’t honored and end up paying for it. I told the server and I think he forgot. He was very friendly and engaging. Voir le carte

Everything was great except our server. There were tables seated after us that got service before us bc our server showed up 20mins after we were seated and made the excuse she was suppose to be off but we seen her serving other tables during that time. We had to ask manager and other servers for help once we ordered and got food and drinks

Decor/ atmosphere very chain restaurant like. The food was mediocre at best. The best part of the meal was the chips. Corn tortilla tacos got soggy quickly with only one tortilla used per taco, I made the reservation as a birthday event no mention was made of any birthday. The four of us left very disappointed in our first and most likely last experience at this restaurant.

"I've been to the new Irregardless twice now. Once for a rather disappointing late brunch and a second time for a fabulous welcome back to town dinner. Their prices have definitely risen to The point where I won't be able to visit as much as I used to (and they also don't know what Eastern versus Western BBQ is, but I won't hold that against them). They're very conscious about vegan options and the dishes are still as high quality as I remember them being under the old management. Disappointed not to see any Raleigh brewing on the draft menu but the drink menu was very good. I got the most expensive vegan option of course. A North Carolina BBQ prepared maitake mushroom on mashed potatoes with a gorgeous, perfect amount of broccoli. Now the fiction kitchen has an Eastern BBQ plate which I love So I was very surprised when it showed up with a ketchup/tomato-based sauce. It was delicious Even though it was a western NC style barbecue sauce. Haha (My mom got the salmon The time blackberry cheesecake was divine. I hope they keep that one around because I'm definitely coming back for another slice. I'm happy to report that the staff are excellent, warm, friendly, and professional. Our waitress was friendly and delighted to answer all of our questions since we hadn't been for dinner yet. Brunch, the music was a little loud and by the time we actually got a table they were out of everything we wanted to order which is a little disappointing and speaks to poor planning. We did get was small but delicious. Not sure I would try brunch again unless I was really hankering for their brunch specifically and if so I would get a reservation a week ahead of time. As a person who's gone to this specific restaurant for over 2/3 of their life, I'm just glad that it's still exists and is in such good hands. I just hope they read up a little bit more on barbecue in North Carolina. And make more vegan things"
