I really liked the Asada Tacos at this restaurant. They offer a variety of delicious dishes and also make their own plant-based meat and cheese.

Delicious vegan taco shop with great meat options. From asada to al pastor to chicken. I loved the tacos but wasn’t a fan of the loaded potatoes.

Very good menu ideas, and the toppings are great! Unfortunately, the beans and potatoes were lacking a little bit of flavor. A little salt and garlic would probably make this place 5 star Voir le carte

Awesome Street Tacos. I'll be back next time I'm in the area. Friendly, quick service. Even my non-vegan brother enjoys the food. He brought me and my son-in-law here separately. Updated by previous rating on 2022-05-13

Updating to add visited again 2.5 years later and so glad it’s still going strong! My horchata and street tacos were delicious. This is such a cute spot, and the owner was so sweet. We had the chilaquiles and original burger, with an horchata. Enjoyed everything, including the sidewalk seating. This is such a find in Uptown Whittier. Updated from previous review on 2021 10 08

Menu was easy to read and all options are vegan! I got the breakfast burrito (huge) and added chorizo. Ran me close to $15, after tax. Had considered a dish with carne asada at first, but the employee told me they were out (I was there at opening). Unfortunately, the burrito was really bad. It did not resemble a breakfast burrito in look or taste, and was more along the lines of a burrito you'd have for dinner. Even viewing the burrito as non-breakfast, the taste was not good. I am not just speaking in terms substitute meat/dairy items either...even the beans were bad! tasted and had the consistency of burnt beans. Similar to the reviewer below, we were eager to enjoy our experience at this restaurant. The staff was friendly, although overly optimistic about the waiting times, and the establishment is 100% vegan. We ordered two tacos and a burrito, but unfortunately found the food to be extremely salty, to the point where we couldn't even finish it (especially the tacos). This significantly dampened our dining experience as the flavors were not what we expected from Mexican cuisine and the dishes were also very oily. Additionally, the prices were on the higher side. I was finally able stop by and try some of their food as it has been on my radar since they opened a few years back. I ordered the four street asada tacos and the mulitas w/ al pastor and asada. Overall the food was fresh and tasty, however the asada was bit salty on this day. The asada was still palatable just a touch too much salt. Otherwise I really enjoyed the al pastor mulita, the fresh salsa, and the cook was really cool and friendly. I really wanted to like Veggie Y Que. I appreciate their commitment to making everything from scratch in their kitchen. After hearing glowing reviews from friends, I finally had the chance to visit their location in Whittier. I was a bit hesitant about the fillings in the Burrito as I am a fan of rice and was worried about missing it. As a potato lover, I was excited to try the house style.
