"One morning, feeling hungry, I walked in craving a pancake breakfast and placed my order. The restaurant does have a slightly worn-out appearance and could use a bit of care, but the staff is as genuine as they come. From the cook, Julio, to the owner, John, and his son Michael, who helps out, they all contribute to the welcoming atmosphere.
John, who is visually impaired, has a larger-than-life personality. He serves tables and entertains customers with his humor, bringing smiles and laughter both before and after the meals. His blindness doesn’t hold him back at all; he appears to know exactly what’s happening in the restaurant and does so effortlessly and joyfully.
Now, about my meal: I had the trucker’s special, which included 2 eggs, bacon, potatoes, and 2 enormous pancakes. The pancakes were absolutely perfect—fluffy and delicious with butter. What really impressed me was that they offered real maple syrup, which is hard to come by these days. Typically, upscale pancake houses will charge you an extra 2 to 3 dollars for it, but here, they just set the whole bottle on the table.
So, not only did I enjoy a fantastic breakfast, but I also got to experience the vibrant atmosphere of this diner, thanks to the wonderful personalities that make it a truly memorable experience for both the food and the service."
