"I visited the restaurant because of the good reviews from Bryant Wright. Personally, I was hoping the food would feel less threatening to the arteries. But just like other country cooking restaurants, the amount of butter, mayonnaise and such used was a bit startling for me. I realize that restaurants have no concern for their customers health...It 's on you, the customer, to concern yourself with that. So although I had hoped the food at Always Fresh would feel a bit less threatening to my health, it just didn 't turn out that way for me. Now I know you have to put butter in macaroni and other casseroles, but it shouldn 't be literally sitting in a pool of butter on your plate...know what I mean? There has to be a better way to make good country cooking without contributing to the early demise of your customers! I wasn 't able to eat over mayonnaised coleslaw, or my over buttered and over cheesy macaroni, or my over buttered broccoli casserole, or my over mayonnaised potato salad. It was supposed to be my once a month eat out treat because I was recently told my cholesterol was a little too high. But I 'm sad to say that there is no homevcooking restaurant that I 'll be able to patronize...Always Fresh was no exception. It 's my problem. Maybe someone someday will open a restaurant that cares as much about their customers arteries as they do about making money! It 's been several months now, since I patronized this restaurant. Today, I went back, but not to buy a meal. I sat in the car and waited, while my friend went in to purchase some food. When she returned, I asked her what she 'd bought. She said a 3 vegetable plate. So I told her to open it up so I could see and she did. Then I saw two tablespoon sized portions of vegetables. When she told me she 'd paid $9.00 for those infant sized portions, I could not believe it! So I advised her to return the meal and ask for bigger portions or a refund. But, although she was clearly dissatisfied with the tiny portions, my friend chose not to go back into the place, as I 'd strongly admonished her to do. She just has no ability to stand up for herself in that way. Even so, she said she liked their food. I don 't like being cheated out of money and I won 't stand by and watch my bff be cheated either! So I told her that if she returned to that 'old bank building ' restaurant again, I won 't be in the car with her! With that being the case, she likely won 't return any time soon! We go everywhere together because we 're codependent and live under the same roof! However, at least I didn 't notice her food portions standing in pools of butter!!! That 's progress! ? ?"

"And let's talk about the DJ—he seemed to enjoy singing over the tracks, which made the experience rather chaotic. Not exactly what I’d call professional. Now, onto the restrooms, which were surprisingly immaculate—almost out of a fantasy world! There’s a quirky attendant by the sink with a small plate of dollar bills. His job appears to be making sure you’re well taken care of; he manages the faucet, dispenses soap, and offers you a napkin as if you're a toddler learning to wash your hands. Who knows why he’s there, but he certainly adds to the atmosphere. As for dancing, you may want to leave your shoes at home. There’s no designated dance floor here; instead, you’ll find a tightly packed arrangement of tables, making it nearly impossible to bust a move without bumping into someone. Now, for the highlight of my visit. When I approached the bar to ask for some water, the bartender told me they only sell bottled water for $3. I was ready to give up when suddenly, she seemed to have a change of heart. She handed me a large glass of ice water without charge, and I couldn’t help but smile and thank her. Was it my patriotic shirt that worked its magic? Maybe they sensed my parched state? We may never know. To be fair regarding the food, I only ordered one dish, which isn’t enough to fully evaluate their menu. Our table did have a tempting mix of strong drinks, including champagne and a few beers. But one thing is clear: a visit to Mamajuana is full of surprises, with a touch of extra cost to keep things lively. Cheers to Mamajuana, where dining out feels like an adventure! "Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be giving this coffee shop a fourth try. I came this afternoon hoping maybe third time is the charm, but again I have left disappointed. The first time we came, we ordered a 12oz hot white mocha and blackberry latte and a 16oz shot in the dark. The latte was scalding and the drip coffee came with a shot of espresso on the side, we poured it in ourselves. On top of that, the customer service was awful. The barista at the counter had a poor attitude and was quick to correct my ordering of the blackberry latte because I didn’t specifically ask for white mocha so it didn’t curdle. The second time I ordered an iced blackberry and white mocha latte and a 16oz shot in the dark. Again the drip coffee came with the shot on the side, so we again poured it in ourselves. Not sure if that’s a problem with how we’re ordering, as I’ve been a barista for four years and wouldn’t serve drip with espresso on the side if a shot in the dark was ordered. My iced latte came with oat milk, after she asked me if whole milk was okay and I replied yes. They also made it like a “Starbucks macchiato” with the espresso on top, so I stirred it myself. And again the service was terrible, not personable at all and seemed unhappy to help the line of customers. I like to give shops the benefit of the doubt, maybe employees are new and don’t have experience making drinks yet, or something of the sort. Plus this is the only coffee shop in the surrounding area with blackberry syrup, and it’s just so good. But today’s visit will be my last. We went inside, the only two at the counter until 3 more stepped in line behind us. We waited up front for a few minutes while both baristas were in the kitchen. The girl that came to the counter came out first, and seemed very disappointed she had a line of customers to take care of. I ordered a 16oz hot blackberry and white mocha latte, with whole milk. She repeated it back to me, I had to tell her again there was also blackberry. Okay, that’s fine. I asked how many shots of espresso came in the latte, she said 3 in the hot latte and that there’d be 4 in my iced latte. When did I order that? I then corrected the order and told her it was one drink, not two, and she seemed confused. I paid, and waited. My latte came out warm, and at this point in my experience coming to Alcove, it’s not worth asking for it to be remade. Too bad the service is poor, no matter the barista, because the blackberry syrup is the only redeemer. I wish it was different, sorry to leave a bad review :"

"Three blind mice are a local and operated restaurant that serves not only as a wine bar and shop but as a full service restaurant. When my family and friends come to town, this is the place where I take them for lunch or dinner. Although their menu may not be as sturdy as chain restaurants, their farm to table and local ingredients that they can supply have fresh flavors. The restaurant had some changes in the chefs, so if you gave them an attempt and were?t impressed I would recommend giving you another chance. Two of my best friends and I have gedminated here for my birthday and all our food was delicious, but I can't stop thinking about my swordfish. It literally floats through my dreams. It was one of the best swordfish dishes I've ever had. The fish was perfectly boiled and the wort and sauce kept it easy unlike the heavy fish it can be. But bright and full of taste. My friends couldn't believe I loved it so much. They were layers of flavors that would otherwise have been hidden with less experienced cooking dishes. This is a place and for good reason. You have a great bar with a fascinating cocktail menu and food that impresses. With live music on weekends, they create a cozy but upscale environment. So whether you are looking for a good drink or good food, this is a place that fills this hole in your suburb. A place with a place feels but in the graves."

"I made a mobile order and went into the drive-through. I talked to the person who takes the orders, who told me that everything was fine and I could get my food. When getting the food, the order is wrong, and the girl tells me if she can see my phone tocheck what was missing. She tells me that it 's a curbside (I could 've sworn I selected drive-through), and that I should parkand select the parking spot so they can bring me the food. They had me waiting around 35 mins in the parking lot (I selected theparking spot 2). I went inside and told one of the girls at the register to either help me getting the food of my order, orcancel it, so I can make a new one. She tells me that she 's gonna talk to her manager about it. The manager was walking aroundthe store and she never approached him. It was getting late and I had a meeting, so I just made a new order with another girlbecause I was hungry. While waiting for my new order, the first girl who talked to me at the register sees me and tells me: CanI help you with something? in a condescending tone. I was never rude to anyone and that reaction bothered me. Couldn 't get mymoney back from the mobile order : I guess going full Karen mode is justified sometimes. Maybe not. Oh well I made themobile order on 9 13 22, 5:49 PM, : 10460932, Total amount of $7.89. Edited without the girl?s name. Not worth getting someonein trouble."

"In the short term, I was invited to dinner with some good friends who proposed Los Hermanos. First, I should admit to having eaten here often before the restaurant expands into the adjoining room. You will find Los Hermanos on the left side of the Publix shopping center in Tucker, right on Hugh Howell Rd (Lawrenceville Hwy separates to the left and drives as Hugh Howell when you come from i285, go to the right fork. If you're familiar with mobile phone hardware it's the shopping center you would meet if Cowan Rd left instead of left or right on Hugh Howell. My previous experience was very good until the restaurant was extended. I had the misfortune to eat there a busy night after the sitting was doubled and it was just terrible. I thought they needed some time to bring their act together and last night was my first visit ever. It's been for several years, so it was time for another attempt, right? I am pleased to report that Lost Hermanos is actually recovered and I give him a solid four stars. The service was amazing and the food was excellent. The starter salsa is very different from your usual brother-in-law Mex tariff. The term that comes into mind is fleshy, not that there is a stain animal in it it is the heavy taste of ripe tomatoes. You get that in the front, then a hit of Cilantro (there is a lot of fresh green in the salsa), with the remaining flavors last. There is nothing to the taste that you can from the stuff from the bottle. Also it does not have the heavy acid you usually taste in conventional salsas I liked it quite well. My only change would be to add some heat either a bit of Hatch green Chile or to keep it fresh a mint of Serrano pepper. The chips were also brilliant and above average (both fresh and the taste/smell combo), somewhat thicker than average and very tasteful. Although this restaurant is billed as Taqueria, the rest of the menu and especially the specials always tempt me to get something different than Tacos last night, I chose the Mol Chicken Enchiladas from their special menu. Wow, that was perhaps the best mole I had in Atlanta, thick and rich with the combination of earthy flavors and chocolate, which makes mol dishes so delicious. Along with a side of rice, a spoon full of pico and a mex first for me, green beans. I know it sounds strange, but the green beans were made with onions and large pieces garlic, heavy sauteed and were pretty good. I give this court a simple 4 stars (I also uploaded a picture of the plate). My companions chose the Shrimp Corn Chowder (I had it before and it is pretty good) with the only comment that it was sweeter than she expected, but they still thought very well. They also shared the house Tamales from the special menu that they ran over. These were two deceaseds, a pig with green Chile, and the other chicken in red (picked like agate) with black beans. The pig had big pieces while the chicken looked to pull out and slightly shredded. They were particularly brightened with pigs, even show the wonderful consistency of the mascara and size of the pieces. I think I will try the next time it is offered as a special offer. From memory I had a few other dishes, especially the shrimp soup comes from the special menu to imagine a huge margarita glass filled with gazpacho with the rim lined with peeled shrimps delicious! I also had the carne asada burrito and the fajitas in various combinations all quite well. All plates came loaded with food you don't leave hunger. The prices were also very reasonable for the quality of the food you receive. The three of us spent about $45 with drinks (two entries, one divided, soup, two Sangrias and one beer). Overall a good experience with great service. The only failure of this restaurant is the lack of Tequila, as Los Hermanos only serves beer and wine combinations (also the Margarita is made with wine and, in my opinion, is not worth the effort). If you're in a beer mood you're in luck as the selection is better than what you'll find in a typical swag mex location (including Blue Moon, 420, and Yuengling). They also offer a selection of entry level California wines for the Winos, but the Snobs won't be happy. Last night I had the Sangria and it was OK gave an intensity of the taste I liked, but little snap the fresh fruit felt like small pieces of apple (hard to tell about the flavors except consistency). Not great. We lost the dessert, but if I were hungry, I would probably have ordered the Tres or Flan the former as one of my Faves."

"My husband and I ate there for the first time on Thursday for their all. You can eat crab, legs and shrimp. First off the parking lot, looks like it has exploded and is a death trap for anyone handicap like myself. When you get in, there's a depressing environment of out of date ocean tchotchkes. We were seated at 5:05 p.m. no one came to take our drink order till 5:27 p.m. which is ridiculous. I ordered the crab legs with french fries and onion rings and it came with hush puppies. The french fries, onion rings and hush puppies tasted like the oil had started to go bad. The crab legs did come out in bulk and they were hot. However, I feel like they were left in the water too long because many pieces did not come out at all and we're sticking to the sides of the shell. For 55.99 before soft drink and tip, I expected them to know how to cook crab legs. In addition, when we pulled in there was a very sketchy looking man sitting outside the back gate on his phone. After a few minutes of us being there, he came in from the back and sat at the hostess stand and played on his phone. The entire time. He wasn't greeting customers. He wasn't answering the phone. He was simply playing on his phone. I would have thought he was on his break but they just opened at 5:00. The place is very outdated. Needs a facelift so bad. Only has one restroom for females and one for men. The soap and paper towel dispensers were both broken. The soap had been purchased from a Dollar tree and have been so watered down. You couldn't even call it soap anymore. In addition, the roll of paper towels was left on top of the back of the toilet. Disgusting. In my opinion. I had very high hopes for this restaurant based on the amount of time it's been open and the price of the crab legs. Needless to say I won't be back.
