"My husband and I enjoyed a nice meal at Patras Gyros. Though it was a weird time to eat (between 2-3pm) there were lots of people picking up takeout orders. We chose to eat at one of their 4 little tables. It's not fancy-you walk up to the counter and order. Food is all disposable, down to the plastic cutlery, even for dining in. We tried the lentil soup to start with, which was nicely spiced. My husband ordered the lamb gyros platter, which he liked. It comes with a generous portion of Greek salad, a half round of flatbread,!rice and 2 sauces of your choice. He opted for the spicy red and garlic sauces, which both complemented the meal nicely. I got the chicken souvlaki platter. It had 2 chicken kebabs and the same sides. I got tziki sauce and the garlic sauce. The garlic was my favorite. For dessert we shared baklava. My pic shows one but it came with two. My husband ate one before I got a pic of it!The prices here are very reasonable for the generous portions. If you're in the Hazel Dell neighborhood, give this little place a try. We'll be back (but maybe for takeout next time)."

"Not my kind of place. The bar / tavern had screaming, loud customers on a day when there was no one around. Really a tasting menu, teen plate, teen servings, bad value for money. The waitress told me that the green peppers in my clam chowder were mild - they weren't and had to spit out with a burning mouth. Really embarrassing when I was treated. Instead, they gave me asparagus. Your only vegetable. They didn't notice that my water glass was empty and I had to request it. Backless benches to sit in the tavern / bar, but you can request an uncomfortable chair. Not a place where you eat a lot of healthy protein and vegetables like me. I don't like leaving a restaurant where I feel bloated with too much food, but I don't want to go hungry either. The coffee was good after the meal."

"Our family enjoyed the outdoor seating and the waiters did a great job of quickly pushing other tables in when it was raining out of the blue. We were under an umbrella and a big tree and didn't have to move and the rain stopped quickly. Our teenage kids weren't in many nice restaurants and they loved the creative starters, especially the homemade croutons on the Caesar salad, delicious! We all had very good meals and were too full for dessert, which is unfortunate because I have eaten the chocolate bread pudding with Baileys before and it is divine! There are so many tasty options and we enjoyed the scallops as well as the duck, key lime chicken and the flank. You can't go wrong!"

"We came here with pretty high expectations after hearing about it a few times. To be on the safe side, we tried the tasting menu and there’s no way it’s worth the value, not even close. Everything was very basic, made out of cheap ingredients, came in the tiniest portions that left us hungry after spending over $250 for 2 people. That’s the most disappointing part.Bonus disappointing part: no plating skills whatsoever, as a foodie, I take food pictures all the time but really didn’t want to take any pictures of the food that we were served here…. See it for yourself1. A5 Wagyu tiny, bite size portions the size of my pinky finger (no joke . A bit salty2. Tomato salad ok let’s face it but this dish probably cost $5. The menu makes it sound fancy but it’s literally slices of tomatoes and lettuce, nothing more. I could honestly put together a better tomato salad dish that would look more presentable. Yikes3. Octopus carpaccio no comments. Had this very smoky taste but our expectations were already pretty low after the tomato salad…. Lol4. Mushroom tempura another bite size dish that I could easily make at home for less than $10 and better plating too. Yikes 2x5. Sockeye nothing more than plain sockeye skin on. The kind anyone can make at home in the oven after a long day at work6. Pork rack probably the best and most filling dish if I’m being generous? But nothing mind blowing to be fair7. Pavlova probably the most beautifully presented/ plates? Can’t complain but again, pavlovas are really just egg whites and sugar….So yeah, we won’t be going back. You can totally make all of the dishes yourself at home for 20% of the price ?Or go to Collective Goods…. Or Straight Marrow (much better value guaranteed!"

"Mostly good, some bad. The variety and selection of food is outstanding: I can get the type of meals that used to exist in ordinary restaurants 40 years ago but seem to have all disappeared elsewhere, such as meatloaf, a chili size Harley Burger , patty melts, spaghetti, omelettes, waffles, sides of corn, cottage cheese, and a simple tasty iceberg lettuce salad instead of the front lawn weed and crabgrass salad that most restaurants have today. Amazing and huge desserts. After over 15 years I have never been disappointed in the quality of the food here, not once. The staff is friendly and always gets my order right. Prices are very reasonable for what you get, especially compared to other restaurants that don 't have the variety of food here. The one disappointment isn 't the food, staff, or prices: it 's the noise of inconsiderate customers. Unless you 're here M F around 3:30pm, when there 's usually a lull between the lunch and evening crowd, you will have parents not controlling their loudly howling infants or their kids banging silverware, or people talking loudly on their phone, sometimes with the speaker on. That may ok for McDonalds, Chuck E. Cheese, and the like, but it is hard to justify spending $20+ for a meal you expected to enjoy but instead was ruined by inconsiderate people. This can be mitigated somewhat by choosing where you sit but seating is somewhat tight."

"I was called by Tom George to let me know that they were not going to be serving brunch during the summer months, only dinner. The hostess was very nice and asked me to reschedule for dinner which I did. The hostess also offered my party a round of drinks for the inconvenience. So I arrived at the restaurant at 6 pm on Sunday as I scheduled to celebrate Father's Day with my family and the restaurant was closed. We were very surprised and disappointed. The restaurant did not call the next day and I decided I will not try to eat there again. So on Sunday I went to LA Chapter at the Ace Hotel where we had a lovely dinner which I knew I would because I have been there before.I do not know whose responsibility it is on Open Table to be sure the information about a restaurant is up to date and accurate, but nothing like this has ever happened to me at any restaurant before."

"You know you are in a good, authentic place when the food literally transports you to your grandmother's house when you were a child. The black bean soup had this fantastic combination of ingredients that I have not found anywhere but in my grandma's kitchen. That soup, by itself, was worth the trip. The sword fish appetizer was very good and the pisco sour was fantastic (I know, pisco sour is not Mexican, but in any case, it was very refreshing and perfectly mixed). Price wise, well you are in NYC ... 'nough said."

"This is a really charming spot with a lot of potential. I ordered the sisig, which is one of my favorite dishes. It was decent, but I've definitely had better. I'm used to it being served with chopped jalapeños and onions to mix in. On a positive note, the interior is fantastic and the menu looks impressive, so I'd like to give it another shot. I’d rate it around 3.5 stars, but since that's not an option, I’d have to give it a solid 3. I might return to try something different next time."

"We had a fantastic experience at Joe Brown's Cafe! The customer service was exceptional; everyone was friendly, and it was wonderful to see so many smiles. The ambiance and menu brought back memories of Tasty Crust back home in Maui. But above all, the food was incredible. The Land Breakfast hit the spot, and the NY Steak Breakfast special was perfect. The kids absolutely loved their cheeseburgers and fries—they assured me they finished every last bite! This was our first visit to Joe Brown's Cafe, and I highly recommend it to everyone. You won’t be disappointed!"

"My wife and I were here a few months ago and decided to return. This was our second visit since a flood devastated the building. We began with a pitcher of Sangria and ordered Chicken with mushrooms and Shrimp stuffed with crab meat. Both entrees were delicious. A salad was served with the meal. The dining room gets quite noisy, but it's worth the noise to enjoy truly outstanding food."

"I have stayed here before in their "normal ' rooms for 1-2nights. I enjoyed it. This time around I am here for 6-8weeks for a medical stay. I am in one of their one bedroom suites. Our first room we had no hot water. After getting settled with two toddlers and 2months worth of luggage, they asked us to move rooms (around 1030am). We were told by housekeeping needed to he out by noon. Which is weird because I 'm not sure how they could have rented the room with no hot water. The kitchen in that room was not set up for more than 1 person in all honestly. It was a frustrating experience. Only one AC and it only worked in the living room. The heat when going to bed was insane!! We moved to our second room. We had hot water so that was nice. Luckily we took most of the kitchen supplies from the first room but still needed to go buy more items. There was mold on the only air conditioner, that once again only works in the living room. Stains all over the carpets. Kitchen floor looks dirty all the time. The balcony on the 14th floor is missing screws!!! By far, not Impressed and would not stay here long term again. Anytime we ask for something the staff seem to he annoyed with us!!"

"My colleagues and I had reservations at 12 noon and was seated promptly. Since Burmese restaurant are rear in the area, we were really looking forward to this experience. While we weren't in a hurry, the restaurant was. Drinks were ordered and they pushed to have a food order at the same time. We choose to wait to order the food until the drinks were brought to us. We ordered the Burmese style beef and goat stew as well as the Moh Hin Ga (Fish Noodle Soup). While the sauces of the meat stews were nice, it wasn't spectacular! The stew meats were definitely not tender. If you enjoy tough meat, then these dishes are for you. Additionally, the Moh Hin Ga was lacking in flavor and in my colleagues words: "would not order it again". Also, soft drinks and iced tea and refilled complimentary. Given the rush and the below average experience, will not be going back. Given there their great Yelp ratings, there seems to be a lot of patrons that like it. Maybe we just attended them on a bad day or the normal Chef was not present that day..."

Managers had table side manner of a cobra. the Person who cancelled our reservation had an india accent and was rude when we did finally show up like it was our fault for traffic. We came from Eugene to get good german food. Due to the menu change there was little choices of gluten free food. I got pork chops that were dry. the foundu was very small not worth the price . We will miss the old Gustav"

"After we finished our meal, our server—who was very friendly and attentive, frequently refilling our water and checking if we needed anything—brought out a surprise birthday treat: Ube ice cream with a candle, and they even sang happy birthday to me. Overall, this restaurant is fantastic in every way. As for vegetarian options, I requested only yellow onions and mushrooms, and there were no issues at all. I was delighted to find that my dish included a generous amount of mushrooms, which I love. Unlike other places that skimp on mushrooms, Kindee exceeded my expectations."

"This is a fantastic hidden gem for Thai cuisine with a wide variety of options. Despite the booths being mostly full, the service was quick. Since we only had 40 minutes, we opted for a drink and the shrimp fresh rolls. They were incredibly fresh and served promptly. The Thai iced tea was tasty, too. We ordered the drunken noodles with beef at medium spice level, and they were indeed spicy but delicious. The flavors were excellent, and there was plenty of food for the two of us. Overall, I would rate the service a 5, the food a 5, and the takeout entree a 5."

"Chi is a wonderful dine-in experience for the vegan and carnivore alike. We came for one of our first out-to-dinner meals as newcomers to Vancouver from the US and we intend to come regularly. The flavors here are unbelievable. The chef makes their “fish” sauce in house and it is quite literally the best sauce I have ever had. It is versatile and subtle in their dishes as well as flavorful and unique.At the end of our meal, we were greeted by the owner herself who offered to sell us a personal jar of the sauce upon request. Happy to report they also sell jars of their chili dipping sauce.We were stuffed by the time dessert came around, but we’ll be back for a full sampling of their dessert menu soon! Their dishes are seasonal and change around every 10 weeks so there is something new each visit. Cannot recommend this establishment highly enough!
