"Our first visit was quite disappointing! On a positive note, the service was exceptional, and the restaurant itself was very clean and well-maintained. Unfortunately, the food didn't meet our expectations. We each ordered 16 oz ribeyes and started with a simple but tasty tossed salad. My baked potato was fine, but my wife's broccoli was old and had dark spots. The steaks were the biggest letdown; they lacked any seasoning, had no marbling, and were quite tough. I've never had to add so much salt to a steak, and I had to slice it thin just to get it down. To top it off, there were no desserts available an hour after opening. While the place was bustling and seems to be popular with locals, we felt that the $83 price tag for our meal in Byrdstown was unjustifiable given the overall experience."

A great place to eat when you might want a drink with your meal. I have been there so many times in the last few months, and I have never had anything less than satisfactory there (there might have been one occasion, but I highly doubt it). The food is delicious, especially the smothered chicken. The River Grill is definitely deserving of a visit.
