The food was absolutely delicious, so much so that I returned for seconds! The chef was very personable. As for kid-friendliness, the staff was welcoming and accommodating. Service was great for takeout. I enjoyed dinner here, and the price per person was around $10–20.

Amazing brisket and jalapeño beans. Went out of my way between Ft. Worth and San Antonio just to come eat here. Totally worth it. We decided to stop in for a quick snack. We had read the reviews, They were not very welcoming as if it was a bother to serve us. Maybe they were just having an off day, it happens, anyways as I went to order, the guy kept saying no, we don't have that, or it's out of season. I ordered 2 Texas thrash plates but could only get one since they were out of spuds. I got the second plate without the spud. The lady working the register never made eye contact, like it was really a bother to help us. I also overheard the people who walked in and ordered after us say the same thing. They didn't feel welcomed, at least the food was delicious, and they were generous with the food portions.

If you love amazing BBQ, then you have to go here. The brisket is like butter. Melts in your mouth. The ribs are absolutely the best in the county. The service is impeccable. My father and I were going to have a quick birthday dinner. We showed up about 15 minutes to closing time. I didn’t realize we were arriving so late. When I asked the staff if they close soon. They said yes. My father, and I proceeded to leave because we don’t believe in keeping people past their hours. A gentleman named Thomas came out to my car and grabbed my dad I, told us to get inside because they wanted to take care of us. The service there is absolutely amazing.
