"Delicious with a view! Many people might not be aware of this spot unless they’re locals, as it doesn’t attract much vehicle traffic and is the only restaurant on Capitola Wharf. It's a hidden gem by the water. The restaurant serves breakfast and lunch. I enjoyed a tasty club sandwich, and the Eggs Benedict looked equally tempting. It’s a quaint place, so be sure to make a reservation if you’re coming with a larger group. Breakfast service seemed particularly busy, and their menu options looked fantastic. There’s also a small bar where you can sit and enjoy a drink, as well as some outdoor seating where you can watch fishermen catch their haul from the pier. The location is lovely, and they offer excellent dishes. It’s situated close to Capitola Village, but parking can be a bit limited. Your best option is to find a spot on the hill with a view of the dock and walk down, or you can park and stroll through the village. I can’t wait to return for breakfast next time!"

Food was good, pay attention to dinner and lunch times because the price jumps up pretty high for dinner time. Service both times I was there was good and friendly. Views are good and the live band on the weekends are awesome.

The food is wonderful! I'm not a fan of Claim Chowder. I always have to get a bowl when I eat here. Staff is the best! Very welcoming and hospitality! Lunch rates here are wrong. Lunch is more expensive than listed. Every penny worth it! There are paid parking spaces at the Peer. $1 per hour. Super cheap! Visualizza piatti

This is an amazing restaurant! The waitress/cook truly went above and beyond with her service. When my boyfriend requested a stick of butter, she actually melted a whole stick for us. The view is also fantastic, located at the end of the wharf in Capitola. It doesn’t get much better than that! I absolutely loved my clam chowder served in a bread bowl.

Understaffed with only one server and one bartender on a beautiful summer weeknight. So we can guess how bad the wait times are. Dirty dishes are left on the empty tables so long it's unsanitary. They automatically factor in the tip even for takeout for one person. They probably can get away with bad service since they're the only place on the wharf to have a nice meal. That still won't make me want to go back there. But on the plus side, the fish and chips are the tastiest I've had so far.

Cosy little restaurant at the end of the pier. Pricing surprisingly good, food is skin cuisine, but all fish is quite fresh and besides the fact that most fish is broken, the rations are decent and it is as good as you can expect. The setting is very nice, the place is slightly swinging in the wind and waves that add a dimension of experience. You serve great drinks! The service of drinks was slow, but we were a group of 22, and there were other people in the restaurant, so nothing wrong with it. Visualizza piatti

We arrived at the Wharf House on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 in November and had our selection of tables with views. Becca our server quickly became our friend, and it delivered excellent service during our first visit. The establishment of the restaurant is charming nautical. My wife loved the Clam-Chowder that was served in an acidic dough dish, and said it was much better than the Clam-Chowder that she had the day before in another Capitola restaurant. I enjoyed the Capitola Club Sandwich, and our 10-year-old son thought the kids cheese burgers and pommes were great! We're grown up, too. The view from our table was fantastic! Overall the experience exceeded our expectations and we look forwa...

My husband and I celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary with a fantastic date night at the Wharf House. We had an incredible experience. The charming nautical décor, along with the option for indoor and outdoor seating that offers ocean views, made it special. The house special cocktail, the Capitola Breeze, was delicious. Our server, Oscar, was exceptionally polite, helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The food was truly outstanding! I ordered the fresh seared tuna while my husband enjoyed the prawn scampi pasta. We also shared a hearty and warm clam chowder served in a bread bowl, which was delightful. Don't miss the fried prawn appetizer—it's a must-try! We are definitely adding this re...

"I always thought this was a tiny Mexican restaurant and felt like an idiot to discover it's American-style cuisine with a bar and outdoor patio. The food and service are excellent and quite literally the coolest place is the bar area. This local staple has been here 28 years and owned by the same person. The only thing they don't have is breakfast. Jeanette is the treasure here, although all the employees seemed cool, despite many being younger. They have wine and spirits, but my focus was the six taps of local craft brew from Discretion, Coronado, Corralito's and North Coast Pacific. Corralito's is far up in the hills behind Aptos and I never get up there, but fortunately they get kegs every week. The Richter Red Ale is excellent. It's nice you can sit in the bar and have lunch easily and without a reservation or huge rush. The pastrami sandwich was excellent and I'd expect everything here to be good from the other patrons food I saw. They have a happy hour from 3-5PM where drinks are $2 off, but really the only negative is everything is pricey and it can be occasionally difficult to park if it's busy. I think $9 for beer is quixotic but they have excellent food and service, plus it's a relaxing ambience that also can be cordoned off for groups. The closest thing to Mexican food they have is the Taco Salad btw...in case you wondered. I expected to get an enchilada plate or taquitos and had no idea how wrong I'd been for years driving by. This is also a good place to eat if your going to visit Discretion Brewing in the same parking lot. If that's not good enough, you can buy weed, furniture and mattresses next door as well as a Safeway, Best Buy and Home Depot across the street. So, the location is convenient for doing errands after or meeting folks, being right off PCH. They have parking spots in the front for takeaway orders, with the rest of us using the carpark behind the restaurant. In case you wondered, this was a restaurant 28 years ago before Cafe Cruz, but before that, it was originally a private residence, hence the intensive repurposing you observe today. There's one other small house which survives today in the carpark and the defunct breakfast/lunch place behind Cafe Cruz is slated to open as something similar as Cafe Opal was, with breakfast and lunch only. If Cafe Cruz had breakfast, I don't think any restaurants would ever survive behind them. Cafe Cruz reminds me a little of a favorite family-owned chain in Los Angeles called Hof's Huts (now defunct) but had a very similar model, with a bakery and all-day breakfast being the difference. Anyway, if you can, sit in the bar if Jeanette's working. She knows all the restaurants history and is cool."
