"The dining experience was subpar at this restaurant. While the food was good, the service was lacking. Customers are required to do everything themselves, including seating themselves, ordering either through a switch at the table or by phone, and getting up to find someone to assist with any needs such as water, utensils, or extra napkins. The self-service system also applies to drinks, as they are only brought out after customers have waited in line or placed an order by phone. The payment system is also confusing, with charges being deducted for even the foam on a poured drink. Overall, the lack of proper table service and customer care left a lot to be desired. We will opt for other dining options until they improve their customer service."

Such a great experience at Charlews Tap House! Went with a large group of friends to their outdoor area.The food was incredible. Such a good variety and full of flavor. Also, their beer/cider wall was delicious. There are different sized glasses. You can choose a smaller glass and sample anything you want! Then decide what you want a full glass of.The overall experience was so much fun. Amazing food. Amazing service. So excited to know about this spot in Redding !! Will definitely be back. Love the outdoor area. Perfect for spring and summer.

We visited Charlew's on Friday, 3/18/22. We have been long-time customers of Mary's, and Charlew's is the new restaurant run by the same family. The staff were all incredibly friendly and the food was quite good. However, the method of ordering was a bit strange to us. Customers have to wait in line and order at the cash register before finding a table with a flag. We feel that this ordering model may not be sustainable in the long run. Additionally, there was not a large selection of beers on tap for a tap house, and the only bar option was wine. The food was satisfactory, but the ordering process seemed inefficient, despite the presence of many employees.
