"Great atmosphere and location! Unfortunately that’s where my good ratings end. We went here 3 times on our vacation since it was conveniently located near where we stayed. Majority of staff members we encountered seemed annoyed/unhappy with their jobs. The food was meh. I will say the coconut shrimp was tasty, as was the kalua pork sandwich and hula pie! The fish tacos were plain old disappointing the fish was watery and drippy to the point that my tortillas were soaked and falling apart before I could even finish half of one. They also had no crema or good sauce. What really sealed the deal for me to not return, however, was the cheeseburger I ordered it medium well, but it came rare. I do not like to return food so I just dealt with it which was a bad choice as it gave me food poisoning. Was not happy to pay all that money only to spend the night in the bathroom vomiting. You can do better Dukes!"

The atmosphere at this restaurant is fantastic and the staff is very friendly. The parking situation can be a bit tricky if you are not staying at the resort, but the breakfast was amazing.

Christy was fantastic. She described all the local fish to us so well so we knew exactly what we would like and man did the food blow us out of the water. Our favorite Maui restaurant. Great place to celebrate anniversary or birthday events or to close a business deal. Wonderfully romantic. Excellent service with personable, fast and efficient servers. The menus offer a wide variety of wonderfully prepared steaks and seafood. Highly recommend this classic gem. Very popular so reservations are a must.

Avoid this place at all cost!!! Took over 30 minutes to get a cup of coffee. I had to get up and get my own sugar from another table. Kids got their drink after we were done eating and only after complaining to the manager. I understand sometimes people might forget something. However this was too much. Manager was also not very helpful. The Honolulu location is a lot better!

Average food for breakfast. Nothing to write home about. Possibly dinner or lunch may fare better. Had the loco moco. Sauce, rice, eggs were fine, though the meat was exceptionally tougher than expected and moreover, bland. Not seasoned at all. ? Going to make my version of it when I get home. I am a vegan with a condominium at Honua Kai adjacent to Dukes. We would like to enjoy many meals here during our stay but all staff could offer me as vegan was s vegetable hamburger. That’s it. Being a vegan. I eat veggie burgers a lot. Their burger was dry and tasteless. Of all the veggies I have eaten it was the second worse so to our disappointment we will not be patronizing Dukes. Tom Vegetarian options: There are no vegan options except a veggie burger

My wife and I had a reservation for breakfast/brunch and thoroughly enjoyed our food, I had the Loco Moco with fried rice,y wife had the omelet with fried rice, we both had the tropical smoothie and shared a banana macadamia nut pancake. We had a wonderful view of the ocean and the 2 outer Islands and enjoyed a nice breeze. A reservation will help to cut down on wait time. The staff was friendly and accommodating and definitely took good care of us! If Erika is waiting on you then know that you are in great hands!
