Delicious salads and good price! Bottom salad is Chinese Chicken Salad $7.99) and top is Salsa Ranch $8.99). Place is also uniquely decorated as shown in the pictures.

I ordered chicken Ceasar salad and it was placed in a tiny bowl i was worried to spill while mixing it! When i dined in, I was literally the only person at the cafe and that speaks volumes. Customers wouldn?t forget experiences whether it?s bad or good. Iwould probably just start making my own salad and sandwiches.

I ordered a chicken Caesar salad, but it was served in a small bowl that made me nervous about spilling while mixing it! When I ate there, I was literally the only customer in the café, which says a lot. People tend to remember places, whether their experience was good or bad. One word: underwhelmed. Have never eaten at an Erik 's before. My wife enjoyed her Strawberry Fields salad but that was the high point. The Butternut Squash soup had an odd flavoring but she got used it. I had a sandwich with Pastrami and Turkey onit. I asked what the Goo sauce was. Mayo, mustard and vinegar. On the side please, tasted it but never used it. Go theMacaroni salad for side, and it had vinegary taste to it also. Vinegar is not my thing but it obviously is 'Eriks ' thing. Thesandwich was nothing fancy, the pastrami needed a bit more trimming to get a hard piece off it. To top it all off, they were 'out ' of lids for the drinks. Maybe California had something to do with that. Won...

When I inquired about the sauce, they said it was a mix of mayo, mustard, and vinegar. I requested it on the side, but it didn’t add much to the flavor, and I didn’t end up using it. The macaroni salad also had a distinct vinegar taste that wasn’t to my liking. It’s not my place to judge, but that seems to be Erik’s style. My favorite sandwich, when it?s well made, is a Rueben. I?ve been looking for this sandwich in my area Salinas/Monterey for a year. It?s been rough, so I?m guessing it?s choice is not currently popular. ? Recently, I discovered that Erik?s Deli makesthem, so today I dropped in. The service was good. Sandwiches were made quickly. The employees were friendly. The facility wasclean. And, they offer a senior discount! However, I was disappointed in my sandwich. It?s supposed to have sauerkraut, whichwas not immediately apparent.
