"Our family have been obsessed fans of J.Law ever since they were in Bethel. It remains our #1 must-have, can't-miss, always-in-love-with-it restaurant in Greater Danbury, so it only made sense when it came time for my husband's 50th birthday party that we'd celebrate it there. Kelly and Clara (who handles events) were gems the entire planning process, always answering questions promptly and with a smile. We actually attended some friends' baby shower at J.Law previously, and we were so impressed, we did it for his birthday brunch. They allowed us to customize the brunch menu for our guests, do some fun add-ons, and helped us plan the decorations and theme. It was SUCH a fun event, done in the side room, and it was private but open. I couldn't be more enthusiastic about the J.Law team than I already am. Run, don't walk, if you haven't already."

"We are from Jackson Heights NYC , the king of Indian Food. We have missed having Dosas here in CT. Finally we found a delicious restaurant on the edge of Bethel. This was a quick visit as we have been there before. The owner and staff are warm and friendly. The Dosa was delicious. A thin crepe made of lentils filled with potatoes. Served with hot sandbar and coconut chutney. Oh we could not get enough. and it was a huge serving) I had the cauliflower nuggets , tasty. My soup was tomato rasam. A healthy tomato based broth with a taste of lemon? We enjoyed all this so much we cannot wait to go back. Last time we had more including naan. Food is good. One Kingfisher added that complimentary taste."

"This place was a mixed bag. The ambiance was inviting. Reminded us of an old time inn. Waitstaff was hardworking and pleasant. Food quality was good. We ordered a large number of apps. and entrees. And, of course wine, mixed drinks and coffee with dessert. The place was packed. Usually a good sign. We ordered two types of calamari to share. Also, for entrees …the steak, pork chop, cannelloni, flounder, seafood with pasta, various salads, some pasta dishes etc. we got a good sampling of what the menu offered. The service was painfully slow 90 minutes to get our entrees. Several dishes weren’t prepared properly. I won’t go into excruciating detail. Nearly every dish had a preparation flaw. I think there was a problem in the kitchen. Just over 3 hours for dinner was a bit much."

"5 stars ALL THE WAY. I have tried at LEAST 75% of the menu and so far only disliked one item, which was the beef soup, which I've had 2 times. I did not find it to have flavor and did not like the broth BUT everything else I tried was absolutelydelicious. 10/10! The picture I provided is of the Churrasco Guatemalteco/Guatemalan steak. Everything about this dish isamazing.. There's even crema and a little cheese wedge in there!! I like to eat a bit of everything in one bite and you can'tforget the green sauce!! That stuff is made out of pure magic. Chaparros is probably my favorite place to order from in Danburyand I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Thank you to the chef who clearly puts in enough hard work to make me write thissuper long review haha we love you!!!!"

"Went specifically for the weiners based on reviews. It is diner style and cash only. Waitress was prompt and friendly. Weiners were disappointingly small. I ordered mine with the chili/bean topping, cheese and saurkraut with a large curly fries as a side. The large diet soda was not large typical diner style glass and a ripoff if based upon cost versus quantity. Never order a fizzy soda at any diner because they come flat you pay $2 or more for the pleasure. If there is ice in the glass, you get what amounts to a few sips. This is not a slight on JK but to diners in general. The 2 dogs came buried under a mountain of saurkraut, not something you can eat with your hands. With all the toppings and the quantity of saurkraut, I could not really get the essence of the weiner itself. I could make out a little bit of spice from the dog and occasionally a hint of the cheese but the saurkraut kind of dominated. The large curly fries for about 6 bucks were appropriately portioned and ok. Perhaps next time, I'll try some of the other offerings but that to me is like ordering the fish at a steak restaurant. I would give a 4 star review if the weiners were a little longer and plumper. I've had better hot dogs from other hot dog places though."
