"Looking for a piece of “old Vancouver” and a solid affordable, homestyle breakfast? Look no further than Joe Brown’s! Walking in is like stepping back in to the 1950s, complete with super experienced waitstaff that call you “hon” or “dear.” It’s always packed, so get there early if you don’t want to wait in line. The menu is pretty much straight up American fare with reasonable prices for large, well prepared food. Eggs are cooked just the way you want them. They have omelettes, pancakes, waffles, hash browns, bottomless coffee and it just feels warm and cozy. A Vancouver tradition and a must go to breakfast spot. I have only eaten breakfast there, but I seem to remember lunch items too and a kids menu, maybe. Anyway, eat there! Support a wonderful, local part of Vancouver history!"

Friendly atmosphere, good food. Diners like this are becoming a rarity.

I think they may serve corned beef hash from a can. Not what I was expecting.

Try the Texas Omelet and the pancakes! The omelet was cooked to perfection, the hash browns were crispy, and the pancakes were sweet, buttery, and incredibly fluffy!

Great breakfast. Often in here fro Chicken fried steak. great portions, prompt friendly service. They have changed the sausage gravy recipe it's not as good as it used to be, still good though!

I love this place! Exactly what an old-school cafe should be. The service was prompt, friendly, attentive and kind. The food was quick, delicious and plentiful. I imagined going there regularly- every day for my favorite breakfast. Unfortunately, as good as it was, I wouldn’t want to drive from Ridgefield every morning. Visualizza piatti

This place is truly a gem. It is so nice to see diners like this still around with a lot of interesting history. They have a great selection of food. They serve breakfast all day. Their food is so good! We tried a little of everything we wanted to try, and it all tasted great. Their pancakes are really big and good and their hot chocolate is really tasty. We tried the chili fries and chili burgers too, and my, were they good! Prices are very good too for the portions. Will definitely be back.

We had a fantastic experience at Joe Brown's Cafe! The customer service was exceptional; everyone was friendly, and it was wonderful to see so many smiles. The ambiance and menu brought back memories of Tasty Crust back home in Maui. But above all, the food was incredible. The Land Breakfast hit the spot, and the NY Steak Breakfast special was perfect. The kids absolutely loved their cheeseburgers and fries—they assured me they finished every last bite! This was our first visit to Joe Brown's Cafe, and I highly recommend it to everyone. You won’t be disappointed!

"I have been to this place on numerous occasions and I have to say then do a pretty good job on presentation. However I think that tends to sway most people's perception, as the quality of the food is mediocre at best. Ordered a Sushi Tower it came with some Poke on top that was absolutely dripping with an overly sweet sriracha sauce. Absolutely inedible. To add insult to injury it had just a few flakes of imitation krab salad and 2 little chunks of avocado in it. 85% rice. $20 thank you. I'm not sure what America's obsession is, putting Sriracha on Sushi. The Japanese will be a horrified to find out that's what we're doing. You can't even find Sriracha in Japan. I've deduced that people rate sushi restaurants on how spicy their sriracha sauce is. It looks like you've all been duped. The pot stickers were also in edible. They were boiled and not even drained. Filled with unflavored water soaking wet. The tempura was overly battered and undercooked. It was still wet and pasty on the inside, an absolute turn off. The quality of their fish is the same as most places. Previously frozen and sometimes not thawed out all the way. Add to this that some rude waitress refused to seat us an hour and 15 minutes before they closed. Seemed a bit lazy to me. I won't be returning. I see this time and time again. People around here just don't seem to know any better"
