"Came to Kimika for brunch on a Saturday at 12pm with a party of 2 with reservation). The restaurant itself looks light, clean and sleek! My friend and I shared the Tamago Sando $10).We both really liked it!I had the Matcha Mochi French Toast $17).It was sweet and heavy on the stomach, but that’s not a bad thing, that’s with any French toast.I’m very happy I tried it, as it had been on my list for a very long time!I had 6 bites left and took them to go with me, because I’m not big on wasting food.My friend had the Souffle Pancakes $17) and she enjoyed and finished hers.I took a bite of hers and it tasted really good!I liked the flavor and the fluffiness of it!The reason why I’m giving 4 stars would’ve been 4.5 if I could) instead of 5 stars is because:1) The male waiter acted a bit strange. For example pulling away a plate that I had positioned on the table for a specific reason. It just came off a bit rude.2) It also was a bit weird that the Tamago Sando and my dish, the Matcha Mochi French Toast, came out together at the same time.So obviously I waited for my friend’s dish, the Souffe Pancakes, before eating mine. There was simply no way for the French Toast and the Souffle Pancakes to come out together for whatever reason.3) Not really the restaurant’s entire fault, but at some point 2 other parties were seated on each side from us and we could barely hear each other speak from that point on.This resulted in all parties speaking even louder. So having conversations was quite difficult and annoying. They could’ve spread out the earlier parties, there was enough seating left from what I can remember. In the end I did enjoy my brunch, although it wasn’t perfect.Service was fast and decent the kind female waitress definitely made up for her male colleague). We also found the prices to be very affordable.I do recommend everyone interested for brunch to give Kimika a try!Vegetarian options: As a vegetarian I was able to eat and enjoy the Tamago Sando egg sandwiches) and the Matcha Mochi French Toast. Both vegetarian dishes and both yummy!"

Great experience first time dining here with a couple of friends. The food was outstanding, especially the uni pasta and rice cake lasagna. Excellent cocktails as well. One of the people in our group is celiac and our server was very thorough with making sure what she selected to eat was gluten free.

Overall Kimika was a fun and unique experience. The space is clean and welcoming. The staff was great, too. Drinks were unique and tasty. Food ranged from eclectic and amazing to beautiful and just okay. Definitely loved the truffle pasta. Also a fan of the tuna.Vegetarian options: Lots of non meat option

Had an amazing Saturday brunch at Kimika! Loved everything we had! It was all so unique and delicious!I highly recommend ALL of the items we had. Trust me you’ll have no regrets! If I had to pick TWO favorites it would be Aglio e Olio and the tuna tartare ?????? WOW. WOW. WOW.The service was also incredible. They checked in but weren’t overwhelming. Visualizza piatti

A casual spot in Nolita, Kimika serves Japanese Italian fusion brunch. Was excited to try their matcha mochi french toast but it was kind of disappointing. Otherwise, their Katsu burger was tasty with a good balance of flavors and soft milk bread.Service and ambience were nothing special. On the pricer side for the quantity of food (the burger was small).

Only tried their dinner menu so I’ll just comment on that. I had high expectations for it because my friends recommended it. We ordered truffle carbonara and uni spaghetti for main. The flavor is really nice but the texture of the pasta isn’t the best. We got hazelnut mochi dessert. Nothing special. The serving size is quite small for the price. Will definitely exceed $50+ per person! (Might give it another try for their brunch)

The waiter was really friendly, and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, but the food was a huge disappointment. It wasn't good at all, and definitely not worth the price. The portions were tiny; I paid nearly $40 for just four small scallops—nothing else, just those scallops. We also tried the impossible burger, which looked fantastic but was incredibly bland, and the red wine sauce tasted like ketchup—what a letdown! The potato salad was decent, but it was only a tablespoon-sized serving. Visualizza piatti

The waiter was very friendly, and the restaurant has a lovely ambiance, but unfortunately, the food did not live up to expectations. It wasn't good at all, and the prices are definitely not justified. The portions were tiny—I paid nearly $40 for just four small pieces of scallops, and that was all I received, nothing else. We also tried the impossible burger, which looked fantastic but was quite tasteless, and the red wine sauce had the unfortunate flavor of ketchup. It was a real disappointment. On a positive note, the potato salad was decent, but it was only served in a tiny tablespoon-sized portion.

However, we did have some concerns during our visit. Our reservation was at around 9:30 PM, and we felt rushed to place our order before the kitchen closed. It seemed like all of our food was brought out at the same time as the appetizers, but everything arrived cold, possibly because they had set the plates aside. The truffle pasta we ordered was quite tasty, but it was so cold that the oils had started to solidify. While it had great flavor, it was hard to properly enjoy it. Our asparagus was also cold. The rest of the food was decent, but again, served at a chilly temperature. On a positive note, our server Robert was impressive. He provided great recommendations, was very knowledgeable...

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
