"Driving through and spending the night at my sister’s and they have been wanting to treat us to dinner out. What a great little place! I’d love to see the rooms. Angel greeted us and was so friendly and cordial! Loved visiting with her. Jayden was our server and again, so pleasant and knowledgeable. Loved all her suggestions! I was intrigued by the Pineapple Coconut Margarita and found it tasty nice balance of sweetness. Jayden recommended the Brussel Sprouts and they were delicious! Two of us had the Shrimp and Grits and we both loved it! Not too rich and great flavors. My sister had the Cauliflower steak (what??? I’m from TX and our steaks don’t come from cauliflower! but she said it was delicious!! Hubby had the Fried Chicken with Whipped Potatoes and said it was very good. I got a bite of both: moist chicken and fun flavors (maybe lemon in the potatoes. Yum!! We couldn’t decide on dessert so I ordered Crème Brûlée, SIL got Chocolate Cake and sis got the Lemon Tart. I was torn between my Choice and the tart so hubby got the tart on my behalf. Jayden was listening and knew he really wanted the Chocolate Cake so brought him a slice of that too! Fun night! Great food! Excellent service! And wonderful company!"

"two in our party of three ordered from the brunch menu. the articles were crorque monsieur and oeufs al cocotte. each plate seemed to consist mostly of brot. we will not try again. the other person with us got the pesto chicken flatbread and a home salad. she said it was very good. we have eaten the flatbreads at earlier and found them excellent. also the side caesar or the house salads are great. we also enjoyed the brote served the table. cafe verona is one of our favorite spots. we were just disappointed by the brunch dishes we tried."

"There is so much to say about the first Chicken Chimmy, and wow! It's packed with loads of chicken and deliciously melted cheese, all served with rice and beans, topped off with beautiful queso. It's truly soul-satisfying. The chips were great too! The salsa could have had a bit more heat, but I can easily overlook that minor detail. I opted for the white rice, which was surprisingly flavorful—definitely not just plain! This place really excels in every way. The service was top-notch; the staff was incredibly helpful with instructions and provided great recommendations. I would give it 6 stars if I could!"

"When it was time to order, I found myself facing a tough decision. The menu prices ranged from $16 to $30, which was a bit higher than I expected but still reasonable considering the offerings. I chose the salmon with herb cream cheese bruschetta, omitting the bread since I'm gluten-free. My dining companion ordered a homemade chicken salad sandwich with a side of potato salad. The portion sizes completely justified the prices. My dish included four thin slices of salmon rolled with cream cheese (the server mentioned the kitchen had fun preparing it) on a bed of crushed Romaine, along with homemade pickles, pickled red onion, sliced hard-boiled egg, crushed goat cheese, and capers. The plate was also garnished with a slice of orange and watermelon. My companion’s chicken salad was generous, served on thick, toasted bread, and accompanied by fruit and pickles. We both found the pickles to be delicious, though a bit on the spicy side. Although we were tempted by dessert, we decided to take half of our meals home and forego dessert. The dessert options included lemon cake with mascarpone filling, flourless chocolate cake, and crème brûlée."

"Driving though KC and tried to find good bbq. I really wanted to give it more than 1 star but the meat was dry and tough. Our group had burnt ends, sliced brisket, pulled pork, and the spicy sausage and all of them were dried out. There was potential to be good with the seasonings but this stuff was just dry. Maybe they were serving this mornings meat Beans, Mac and cheese and, fried foods that our kids ordered were all great. I was not sure if the sauces were homemade or not. They weren’t anything to ride home about. Hoping it was just an off night because KC has rated this place so high. I would like to think KC knows good bbq! If the owner reads this, I would honestly love to try this again but it seems like you need to set some quality assurance standards in place with your meats and sauces. Especially since this was a Saturday night dinner. Your wait staff is great and they all seem to care so much about the customer! Kid-friendliness: Wait staff was so kind to our kids!
