La Madeleine French Bakery Cafe

I enjoyed the avocado toast, and their quiches are generously sized. The tables were clean, and there was plenty of space to dine comfortably. The kale salad is flavorful, and if you prefer it without the lettuce base, just ask—they'll happily add extra kale.

The service was excellent, and the food was even better. We tried several dishes, and each one was delicious. The hot chocolate is outstanding, and the pastries are incredible—especially the almond croissant, which I love! The crème brûlée is among the best I’ve ever tasted.

Wow! So we had a mens meeting this AM 7/9 with nearly 50 hungry men. Started @9 . We were wondering about the orders and service. No need. By the time orders were made and in line to pay the food had come out for most! The team here was fabulous.Food was good. I was working from home and suddenly became very hungry, so I turned to Uber Eats and discovered this restaurant. I decided to place an order based on the photos. To my surprise, the food looked just as appealing as it did in the pictures! I truly enjoyed my meal and will definitely be ordering again. Everything was neatly arranged in the containers, which were securely sealed to prevent any tampering. Thank you!

I truly love the desserts at this restaurant, particularly the crème brûlée and coconut cake. I can't comprehend why the crème brûlée isn't always on offer, considering how delightful it is. I'm not a huge fan of the sachertorte, as I’m quite selective when it comes to chocolate. Additionally, it would be nice if the staff were a bit friendlier. I also missed trying the pesto salad, which is another one of my favorites here.

Updated July 13, 2022; this is my third update to this review. The food, staff and service have continued to improve since a really bad experience years ago. Today we were running errands in the area, and stopped in for breakfast. Although they werebusy, the food came out promptly, warm, well seasoned, and very tasty. Wow! We had a men's meeting this morning, 7/9, with nearly 50 hungry guys starting at 9 AM. We were a bit concerned about how the orders and service would go, but there was no need to worry. By the time we placed our orders and got in line to pay, most of the food was already served! The team here was fantastic. The food was delicious, and the staff was attentive, making sure we had everything we needed—refills, clean-up, and more. They even turned down the AC for a room full of guys. Kudos to the team!

If you're looking for authentic and delightful French cuisine, you might need to keep looking. While the staff was welcoming and friendly, the food did not meet expectations. The eggs were overcooked, my omelet had frozen spinach instead of fresh, and the baguette was so overbaked that it was almost inedible. The sauce for the French pasta was as watery as tap water, and the croissants were flat and lacked their characteristic flaky texture. Even my macchiato had a pool of unmixed syrup sitting at the bottom of the cup. I had high hopes for this restaurant, but unfortunately, I can't recommend it to anyone who appreciates true French cooking. Visualizza piatti
