"Very good food but the service was terrible. My husband and I went to dinner a few months ago and our waitress and service was a disappointment. We wanted to give the restaurant a second chance as we have heard great things so we came back 8/26/23 and unfortunately got the same waitress. We showed up for a early dinner (5pm) so it was not busy. The waitress forgot our drinks at first so we had to wait longer for them (no big deal), then when we ordered our food she completely did not listen to what we ordered and wrote down the wrong thing. Our food came out and we said oh this is not what we ordered and she comes over and says Well, what do you THINK you ordered . As someone who has worked in food service, the way she spoke to us is not acceptable. Especially for a restaurant where the meals are $40-$65 each. Half way through our dinner our drinks were empty and she never asked if we wanted refills, we finally asked and she never brought us our drinks. We finished eating and just told her to forget about it as we were ready to go. Again, she only had 3-4 tables of 2.. not busy, but apparently she cannot multitask. Very disappointed and will probably not return after giving them 2 chances."

""We recently moved from Oklahoma and are excited to explore all the local restaurants. While we usually go to Dad’s and Wheelhouse, tonight we searched for 'cheeseburgers' and ended up at Vagabond. Let me tell you, this is now our go-to spot for burgers and chicken! The service was quick and friendly, despite my desire to try ALL the sauces. And the food? Amazing! The chicken tenders I ordered were generous and fresh, with enormous patties. The Garlic Parmesan fries were unique, and I don’t think I can go back to regular fries after trying those. I also loved the atmosphere; it’s casual enough for my teenager, yet also perfect for a date night at the bar. I highly recommend it—10/10! We’ll definitely be returning this weekend! "Great pizza and dessert! My only complaint is that the waitress told me that the 7” pizza had 4 pieces, I told her that it was for 2 people so 2 pieces each should be good. She didn’t lie, there were 4 pieces but they were TINY! It was basically a personal pan pizza. However, the pizza was amazing! It was a thick pan crust and had fresh toppings (we ordered a taco pizza). Since the pizza was so small we were still hungry afterwards so we got the cinnamon balls. I definitely recommend them! Hawaiian bread rolled in cinnamon. The service was fast but there was only 1 other couple in there at that time (it was 8 pm on a Tue). The restaurant was clean, it was decorated nice and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. I definitely recommend this place!"

"The chimichurri cod was incredible, some of the best fish I’ve ever had. Everyone at my table really enjoyed their food. The drinks were lovely too. Our waitress Jordan was super friendly and funny, we had a great time with her. I will definitely be coming back the next time I’m in Anacortes! Vegetarian options: Tons of vegetarian options on the menu and a couple vegan options too. An easy place to eat plant-based and still get an excellent meal. "So glad we made the walk to Union Tavern after a night at the Majestic Inn. We didn't want a menu full of friedness, weren't in the mood for Mexican (a rarity for us), and were looking for fresh oysters which surprisingly we couldn't find anywhere without heading to the chain restaurant nearby. Union Tavern didn't necessarily have the fresh oysters we were hoping for but had oyster shooters which were close enough! We walked into a busy outdoor patio, a few tables of 2-4 inside, and a few sprinkled bartop. Rachel the bartender was running an amazing one woman show with style and grace! We ordered a Wander Raspberry Sour and a hand crafted spicy margarita, both were the refreshments we needed stepping in from a hot day. First round of shooters were impressively stocked with diced cucumbers, capers and a little heavy on the cocktail sauce, but still good. Second round we ordered minus the cocktail sauce and used the first servings left overs. We also ordered the meatloaf burger, sooooo much better than it sounds, and a seafood chowder. Everything was delicious! Bathrooms were clean, ambiance was comfortable with soft string lights throughout. Great spot for a TON on tap, from ciders, sours to, IPAs and then some.
