When I walked in, I half-expected to see a celebrity enjoying a slice — you know how L.A. is. But instead, it was just everyday folks satisfying their pizza cravings. Let’s start with the pepperoni slice. I picked that slice up, and it had the perfect amount of flop, like it was saying, “I’m ready for a good time.” And the pepperoni? Wow! It was like a bunch of little spicy frisbees. The first bite was a flavor explosion, like hitting the jackpot in Vegas. The crust was thin but not too thin, crispy but not overly crunchy—just perfectly balanced, like a circus performer on a tightrope. Now, onto the whole cheese pie. This beauty was shining in the sunlight, looking like a pizza-shaped disco ball. The cheese was evenly distributed, with no bald spots in sight. I went for my first slice, and it was simply incredible. The sauce had a nice tang, the cheese was well-balanced, and the crust had just the right amount of chewiness—it felt like a warm pizza hug. And here’s the best part: the entire place smelled like a New York pizzeria. If you close your eyes, you can almost hear the distant rumble of a subway train. It’s as if they’ve captured the essence of the East Coast and transported it straight to the West. In conclusion, Mulberry Street Pizzeria at 15136 Ventura Boulevard deserves a solid 8.7 from me. I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant due to the rude employees. They were kicking people out before 10 PM while we were still eating, which was very inconsiderate. I won't be coming back here and will choose a different pizza place instead.

I’ve never had New York pizza before, but I’ve been to plenty of places that claim to serve authentic NY-style pie, and this one is the best in the valley. Their Buffalo chicken pizza is fantastic! I gave it four stars because I ordered a pepperoni slice, which is a classic favorite, and it wasn’t very impressive. That slice came from the heated section, so it wasn’t completely fresh. However, the Buffalo chicken pizza I ordered was incredible, so I have no doubt that all their pizzas are up to standard. It's definitely worth the price, but be prepared for some parking challenges!
