"What a find! This well established Japanese restaurant has a separate, SIX page separate vegan menu, using vegetables, veggie meats, and the vegan tuna product called Ahimi for some of its sushi and hot dishes. Their menu has more options than most fully vegan Japanese restaurants! If you haven't tried it yet, Ahimi is made by a vegan company called Ocean Hugger and is made from tomatoes and looks like raw tuna without the fishy taste, and has a super smooth mouth feel. So yummy! We have really enjoyed all of the specialty rolls which are all beautifully prepared (see accompanying pics). I personally much preferred the Satay Roll to the Siesta Roll because I found the mango salsa a bit overpowering on the Siesta. Other favorites were the Veggie Thunder Roll, Super Green, and Hippie Roll. A number of the rolls and nigiri use tempura vegetables so there's an added punch. The Gyoza (dumplings) were pan fried and wonderful. We tried the Hibachi Teriyaki Tofu which was great if you're up for a BIG dose of fresh tofu. The Gardein Chicken and Herbivorous Butcher Steak entree was more interesting and really tasty. We also had the vegan KimChi Udon noodles which was very good but I would be better with less oil. Overall I think the vegan sushi is the real specialty of this place and besides the Gyoza, I would be perfectly happy just doing an all sushi dinner here and going lighter on the hot dishes. When we ate there preCOVID, the restaurant was spacious but very comfortable, and service was very attentive. Ask for Kim if you call to place an order. New on my vegan journey , staff gave good vegan roll options I enjoyed. Menus on the windows were meat based options; store has vegan signage . Due to pandemic, carry out is the only option, I did not mind . Visualizza piatti

I really wish the system would allow me to give 5 stars because they have absolutely done their homework. I’ve only tried the sushi so far but it is much more than your basic avocado roll! Vegan cream cheese, vegan spicy tuna, vegan eel sauce and more! I will become a regular.

I only get to go hibachi bc I started coming here during the pandemicfood is always good and hot they have the best steak and shrimpit’s a little pricey but worth itthe two gentlemen that are usually taking orders are so nice and politeI would highly recommend this place! Would have rated this place five stars if the app allowed, but this place has DOZENS of options on a fully separate vegan menu. The staff is extremely helpful and always able to answer your questions. Got to go food while the Coronavirus has been keeping people in their full vegan menu is still available Thanks Otani’s! Horrible serve. The server was rude and mean. Never again. She needs to work at a prison. If you dont like people, then stay away from them. Dont throw your meanness onto your customers. Not only have they created a huge vegan menu but they have done their homework! They get their “meats” from herbivorous butcher and their “fish” from Good catch. There is a vegan version of everything they even use a tofu egg for the hibachi (which they make sure is completely clean from animal products). Amazing vegan sushi, apps, entrees, desserts, and we love the hibachi for special occasions! Staff is lovely! I could go on..
