"hubby and I are often customer in this restaurant, most seafood are fantastic and do not have a lingering fish taste or smell in the restaurant. the braised short rib pasta, black chicken pasta, ribeye, fishtacos and steamed edamame are delicious. each is not too salt or too blande, although, the fish taco, it can need a bit of seasonal or more fish meat. bartenders: becca, syd, regina and tim, they are amazing people and will make their experience as good as possible. they do their best to serve people as quickly as possible; only please understand that there are many people with short employees and can be too hectic, but it is not on them. Lib’s grill is a good place to chill and milk."

"Their food is beyond good we started off with the empanadas and let me tell you they are cooked to perfection and made fresh to order I promise. We got a bit greedy and got the garlic shrimp over the avocado with bread on the side and I literally come here for the Garlic shrimp they add a spice of love into it. Now for the meal I had shrimp white rice sweet plantains and a side salad. They ask how you want your plantains which is perfect we?re all a little different !"

"I went to this restaurant with my non-vegan mother tonight, and we shared the veggie combo platter #1. It included spicy red lentils, split peas, collard greens, cabbage potato, green beans, carrots, and tomato salad. The waitress understood what vegan meant, which was reassuring. The platter came with a basket of injera rolls and everything was delicious. I have been trying to introduce my mother to vegan food, and she really enjoyed this meal. Each dish had its own unique flavor which I appreciated. The portion size was perfect for the two of us, but if you're with a friend and have a bigger appetite, I recommend trying combo platter #2 which includes lentil salad and chickpea salad. Our food was prepared quickly, and the waitress mentioned that vegan food is the simplest and best to make. The citrusy/spice tea served with the meal was also a nice touch. The restaurant is labeled as an Ethiopian restaurant on the outside, but the name is on the door. I would definitely return here in the future!"

"Very disappointed in the service and the food. Me and wifey went there to celebrate our 46 wedding anniversary and left there feeling unsatisfied and sorry we went there. The waitress was very cold, she rushed us and when I had a few questions about some dishes she got impatient and rushed away from our table then came back at least 15 minutes later. She was the most unfriendly waitress I have ever had, anywhere. The food was ok at best but the fried calamari was totally horrible. It looked more like onion rings, and was very rubbery. It was so bad we only had one bite then left the rest. I have been going to Zen since they opened. I even know the owner, David. It used to be owned by two brothers but I think they had a falling out a few years back. The one brother, Phil, opened a restaurant in Laurel across from Mission Barbecue several years ago. Anyway, I think it may be a very long time before I think about ordering from Zen again in the future.
