"First experience? Never again. This place is awful. Sorry, but gross. How they almost have 5 stars is quite disturbing. I should have never called back after being told they didn?t have crab cakes? I didn?t listen, and clearly the universe was trying to warn me. I sent my poor son and husband to pick up our food. The gumbo tastes like it came from a can, literally like dog food. It smelled like Alpo. They didn?t even give us our fried okra, totally missing from the bag, and we paid for them. Told our order wasn?t ready, when in fact it was. Only thing decent was the fried pickles. Had to go to Taco Bell to replace this monstrosity. Will NOT be back. Total waste of $70. Be thankful we left your tip before trying your food and realizing you ripped us off. Thanks."

Nice little restaurant. The only reason it isn?t getting a 4 star is how salty the grilled fish and gumbo was. The fried fish was pretty good though with how light and airy the breading was.

Had a lovely meal and sadly no room for dessert as was too full from so much food.its not cheap by any means. But the caliber of food is equal with other fine dining establishments. The service was good too. This is a great place for special occasions!

I absolutely love this restaurant! My husband ordered the chicken fried chicken and he can't stop talking about it—the gravy and fries were perfectly prepared. I tried the fried shrimp and the bacon-wrapped grilled shrimp, and both were delicious; the shrimp were huge and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff was incredibly friendly. I can't wait to return! I highly recommend this place. Visualizza piatti

Nice neighborhood sit down restaurant with friend as reward for watching his dogs a few days. Staff friendly! Helpful. No vegetarian options other than sides. Lunch special gumbo with side salad $12+. Shrimp crab sausage gumbo good. More gumbo than rice. Crisp garden salad with ranch from a jar. No cracked black pepper. Red velvet cake dessert tasty. Reasonable servings prices. Am trying to go vegetarian so will check menu before I go back.

They are a BYOB spot which caught us by surprise but understandably so due to its proximity to a school. The bacon wrapped shrimps were top notch. I would also definitely recommend the seafood gumbo. I felt the calamari was a bit greasy and not very well seasoned. The fried oysters were a no for me. First time trying them so maybe it’s a me thing. The rice fish and veggies on the other hand were great. I do however wish the fish was served with some lemony parsley sauce or fresh herb sauce by default. Having to pick and choose was courteous but felt a bit off when I heard the options. The atmosphere was okay and definitely made a lot better with the service. The owner made sure to keep every...

"Our first visit to the restaurant last night came highly recommended, thanks to a friend's glowing review of their vegan menu. We were pretty excited and ordered two vegan meatball subs. The trouble began when we waited for nearly 25 minutes after placing our order. Our server, a guy named Ryan (I think), came over and told us they were all out of vegan meatballs. Naturally, we asked why it took so long for them to figure this out, which seemed to fluster poor Ryan a bit. However, he was polite throughout the conversation. We decided to switch our order to one regular meatball sub and a vegan eggplant sub, thinking all was well. But, surprise, surprise, Ryan returned a few minutes later to tell us they were also out of eggplant. At this point, we had been waiting for almost 40 minutes with no food in sight, so we asked for the check to pay for the soda my husband had been nursing. Here's why the whole experience left a sour taste in our mouths: 1. Why in the world didn't the waitstaff know about these shortages in advance? It seems like basic communication within the restaurant was seriously lacking. Customers shouldn't be left hanging, wondering if they'll actually get what they ordered. 2. It's kind of baffling that Ryan was left to break the bad news not just once, but twice. You'd think the manager, who we saw chatting with other diners just a few feet away, would have taken the initiative to come over and speak to us directly. 3. I was made to feel like I should be really grateful they decided not to charge us for the Diet Coke my husband drank. Overall it was a terrible experience and no effort was made to rectify what happened. I obviously cannot comment on the food since we never recieved any. As for customer service...HORRIBLE!"
