"I have loved this restaurant for years. The decor is so cute and the food is always delish. After tonight I would never recommend nor eat there ever again. I was embarrassed for the owner for the service. I ordered the Apple tea, the waitress never put my order in. We ordered appetizers and the server threw it on the table, when we asked for small plates she acted as if we were bothering her. When getting our main courses she didn't even bring one person meal while I sat without a fork for over 5 minutes. When asking for the missing meal and a fork we were once again bothering the server. We should have known better at this point to ask for more water because once again bothering the server. The table next to us had to get up and go get their dessert from the kitchen themselves. Thankfully we were able to figure out where they kept the extra toilet paper because the womens restroom ran out because it would have taken 30 minutes to get that. I heard Karen's diner was coming to St. Louis but I didn't expect them to be testing out their service here."

The service was terrible. The staff didn't check on us, nor did they offer refills. I experienced this during my last couple of visits as well.

Started with the amazing eggplant Moussaka delicious, then Urfa kabab , fresh bread made in the house. Wow yummy meal, fished with Turkish Kunefa and Turkish coffee. Was the beast I ever had on long time.

My all time favorite restaurant in the city! I started by ordering the veggie combo with rice, and it was so good that I've ordered the same thing since. 2 years of veggie combos and going strong! Their staff is welcoming, the atmosphere is magical, and there's absolutely no reason not to go.

The baba ghanoush was really good in its own right, but the bread that came with it stile the show! Just outstanding. The lamb was very flavorful. A great experience. The decoration was really cool and the chairs and tables were hand made. I loved the look but i am tall and had trouble fitting.

We had such an amazing meal here. The owner is so friendly and kind. We loved everything we ordered. We ate vegetarian and there was plenty of options. The Apple tea pairs well with everything. The complimentary soup is also delicious. Would highly recommend dining here. Great ambiance, as well. Visualizza piatti

I absolutely love this restaurant, particularly the ground beef with grilled eggplant. The okra stew served as a side with some entrees is also fantastic. They have a unique dessert called crushed baked around, which is incredibly delicious! Be sure to order it with your meal, as it takes some time to bake. You can get it with ice cream, but I prefer it without. The fact that they're open on Mondays is a real bonus. I highly recommend this place!

This restaurant is truly exceptional. You can sense the love and care that went into creating this space as soon as you step inside. The interior design is flawless, with meticulous attention to detail—from the copper and silver plates to the metal tables, enchanting lamps, stunning seat trims, and lovely decorative boxes. The atmosphere is simply beautiful, making me feel like royalty while dining here. The food was outstanding and arrived promptly. I enjoyed the hummus along with the chicken and rice dish, and it was absolutely delicious—a perfect blend of flavors and seasoning. The staff was friendly and efficient, providing excellent service. Overall, this place deserves high praise for...

"My boyfriend and I came to this place during our visit to St. Louis after reading rave reviews about it online. We went in well-dressed and excited with high expectations, but unfortunately were left feeling extremely disappointed and underwhelmed. Dining at the restaurant definitely taught us a lot about the ozark history. I have a lot of respect for the time and enthusiasm the owner put into researching the history, arranging youtube videos, and conveying this information to the guests. His concerns about the environment and zero-waste efforts are also very laudable. His direct interactions with all of the guests and attempts to answer questions were refreshing. The food, however, was very lacking and mediocre. The concept of watching your food being made is fun and exciting. Understandably, they can’t make everything and plenty is prepared in advance. Except they really didn’t seem to make much of anything at all. A few grilled mushrooms here, and a delicate but also pompous plating there and that’s it. I know there’s probably a kitchen in the back and they work throughout the day as most kitchens do, but this gaudy element of pseudo showmanship missed a serious mark. Again, that’s fine. It’s an aesthetic and part of the bulrush experience. What annoys me is the price tag and the faint whiff of haughtiness that comes with it. The kitchen hands also looked apathetic, disinterested, and lacked focus. They didn’t look like professional chefs, just professional food assemblers. I did not trust that they knew to prepare food properly and that was evident in what was eventually served. The food was either too plain, too sour, too salty, or overall a very big disappointment. The steak had so many big chunks of fat in it that I was only able to eat about half of it. The poissants were cute but definitely not something I would pay that much money for, especially given that there were only about two small pieces of it on our plates. The beets, brussel sprouts, asparagus, fried onions that we were served, I can find and reproduce in my own kitchen. For the amount of money we paid, I expected a lot more flavor, unique ingredients, and creativity. I asked the owner why Ozark and he admitted it was an entrepreneurial strategy to stand out. He loved to repeat to our audience that night that “no one else” is doing it! Well when you taste the food you can kinda see why? I can’t deny though that the chefs know how to make something look appetizing in pictures. That’s what initially attracted us to the restaurant. The pretty platings and colorfully spectacular arrangements were what got us in the door. The experience has been worth it in the sense that for all that we paid for, we got a good lesson to not eat with our eyes, and a funny story to tell our friends back at home."
