We moved to Florida last year but we were back in NY for the Christmas holiday and we had to come to Sofia's for dinner even though it to took us almost 2 hours to get there with the NY traffic, need I say more. Outstanding food, great staff! Paul, Franco and rest of the staff made us feel like we never left.

This is our 3rd visit to Sofia's Restaurant. The food is always delicious. We usually go with friends but this time it was my husbands birthday so we were with our children. My daughter has a nut and sesame allergy and I mentioned this to our waiter Franco where he assured us there is no cross contamination within the kitchen. I had the chicken marsala, absolutely delicious, my husband had the black ink pasta which he always gets at Sofia's, my son had the lamb chops which were cooked to perfection and my daughter had the penne vodka which she finished and that says a lot because she is very picky. Not sure what all the five star reviews are about. The restaurant is pretty, our waiter was not particularly friendly and the food was average. We went on a Sunday night and they were out of snapper and swordfish. There were only 3 tables being served. I had the Sofia’s special salad which was VERY unspecial! It consisted of lettuce, tomato and a couple of cubes of beets. I’ve had better salads from a corner deli. Since they were out of swordfish, I had tuna. It was not a quality piece. I asked for it very rare, but since it was a thin slice, that was impossible to do. My friend had the branzino special which looked nice. The salmon was swimming in a balsamic sauce.
