"since the fire and the covid it was not that we could look forward to a special occasion. we sat 20 minutes after our reservation time and spent this time in the bar. the bar area was much bigger than the last layout they had, but it's somehow not big enough. felt as if they were overwhelmed by tables, which led to it. the menu was quite similar to what I remembered, but the prices were significantly higher. definitiw has the upscale, casual mood and I expect to pay more, but $18 20 for a cocktail are new york city prices not knowtt square. we all ended up with pasta dishes that were all delicious and those were all reasonable prices. the amuse bouche was delicious cauliflower and fennel. the cinnamon roll bread pudding was a great choice and the birthday cake enjoyed it with the cute birthday candle. total a pleasant meal, but some things to consider on menu and service. Favorite restaurant in Chester County. what extra can I say to make it 50 words. Awesome, awesome. wish one like it was closer to me. but it is a nice country drive down beautiful route 82 to get there. and then I can go shopping in Kennett sq. as an extra treat. Have a successful year.

I’ve loved this spot for years, before and after the fire but had just discovered that it is directly halfway between where my brother lives (Newark, DE) and my house in West Chester, PA. Bingo! The perfect brunch spot. I’ve actually only had dinner here prior, many times and always great, but it was fun to check out their brunch menu. My brother is a foodie and he thoroughly enjoyed the choices, vacillating between the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and the how can you go wrong eggs Benedict.
