"We love Millwrights and usually go once a year for a special occasion and always enjoy the tasting menu immensely. But I don't think it's worth it anymore. We were excited to try seating on the bridge, but it wasn't as nice as the dining room. The decor just looked a bit more bare. Of course no fault of the restaurant, but an infant and a toddler were behind us, banging toys, crying and clearly needed to go outside. So the atmosphere just wasn't there for a nice birthday dinner. The service was also not what they had in the past. There were two people there, so I assume someone was training. While they were lovely, we felt rushed. The 1st course of watermelon crudo came out at the same time as the biscuits, popcorn app, and puff pastry. I think they should have been spaced out and a side plate should have been provided for the biscuits. Later, I was eating my last bite of lamb when they asked if I was ready for the dessert. There were still a couple tables there, so I'm not sure why we were feeling rushed. The food was still delicious, but the tasting menu wasn't as memorable as it has been in the past and the portions were much smaller. We'd certainly go back and try appetizers and entrees, but the tasting menu has lost its value. Overall it was not the experience it should have been for nearly $300."

"My husband and I have been coming here since it opened and it has never failed to please. The food is imaginative, top quality, served HOT, a pet peeve and, although I’m not a sushi fan, there is a bar with two people there at all times. From what I hear it is great. I see dishes coming from it and they look very appetizing. The space has a good vibe, upscale with a sophisticated feel. Tablecloths add to the look. The pleasant and courteous owner Sam is always there to greet you so you know he runs a tight operation and this adds to the success of a restaurant as well. In good weather there is outside seating and the other night they had the doors opened up and the fresh air felt so good. All in all you won’t be disappointed. They serve lunch as well, have a good and reasonable wine list so you will definitely enjoy a lovely meal here!!"

"the food was good. the waiter really tried to get up, but our eating took a very long time to arrive. they seemed to be very short employees. they composed our dessert, that was nice and gave me a delicious complementary egg nog. the staff was pleasant and helpful. the worst in the evening was the high noise level. I really had problems hearing my es roommate about the loud noise in the room. I will not go back out of this ground until it is warm enough to eat outside."

"Stopped into Popover Bistro Bakery in Simsbury and grabbed some take out. Hubby is vegan we chose this restaurant after checking the menus online and seeing all off the choices they offered for him. I went with the veggie hash it was loaded with sweet potatoes, carrots, Brussels, broccoli, zucchini sautéed onions and wonderful roasted tomatoes. All of the veggies were perfectly cooked not a one that was too hard or soft. The seasoning and roasted tomatoes were perfection. I of course had to have a popover. Perfectly crisp outside light and airy inside it conjured up childhood memories of popovers made by a favorite aunt for holiday dinner simply wonderful. The very dangerous bakery case is located right by where you order, I glanced over long enough for the carrot cake to start calling my name. Who am I to resist? Moist and flavorful with just the right amount of frosting well worth every delicious calorie. My husband opted for the Vegan Power bowl, shredded kale, quinoa, toasted chickpeas, roasted broccoli and cauliflower, shredded carrot and falafel with pomegranate dressing. He absolutely loved it. We will definitely be back. He noticed they have a vegan waffle last time he found one of those at a restaurant we were in Brussels, Belgium"

"We stumbled in this place and the food was excellent. We wanted to eat outside because it was a fabulous day. The waitress was extraordinary as soon as we placed our order. My daughter had the combined gyro and was in heaven. I had a bite and would order the next time. Spice combinations were excellent. I had something with turkey, cheese and avocado on a role that was delicious. I probably would have added salads and tomatoes, and on the other half I took home. We chose both French Pommes with our order that was the best of all time. It was such a pleasant surprise to find this place. It was perfect for us."
