"Random passage during a stop between Lyon and Gordes coming from Belgium. Chance would have it ! We had a great time in this beautiful village. Great and very family-friendly room service. As for cooking, I didn't think if it was possible to eat such delicious flank steak. The entire menu was top notch with very good value for money. Thank you for everything ! Chloe and Massimo"

"Located in the lovely village of Mirmande, Café Bert serves up a real surprise. An open mind is a prerequisite when you sit down for dinner here, this place is not for those who expect run-of-the-mill tourist fare.Our French isn't great so we didn't quite understand the explanation of Café Bert's "concept", but hey we went along with it anyway...like I said, open mind required. The menu said something about 'consommée froids' but I just thought that was some kind of soup. When my friend asked whether they could do some chips on the side for the kids, the nice girl said that wouldn't be possible because they don't have any cooking staff, let alone a kitchen. Although this struck us as odd, the penny still didn't drop.The penny dropped when our starter and main dish were served...cold! Everything was cold, prepared in the morning, served in plastic containers on wooden trays in the evening. It all made for a great experience, as we were trying to figure out was going to happen, the anticipation, which you don't normally get at restaurants. Thankfully, it was all topped off by great-tasting food. In the end, it's all about pleasing those taste buds, and the food at Café Bert was simply very tasty...can't fault it."

"Authentic restaurant with superb terrace in the shade of the old stone house and with magnificent views of the Rhone valley. The meal is very good, with well chosen and well cooked dishes. The service is top with young smiling servers in a beautiful family atmosphere. A highly recommended address in the picturesque village of Mirmande."

"A very nice experience. We discovered a warm and tastefully decorated restaurant with a very pleasant terrace! The waitresses were charming and effective throughout the meal! A small card guarantees fresh products and the chef's kitchen can enhance them! I highly recommend the home foie gras supplement that is excellent! We will surely come back to discover new dishes! "Very nice experience in a familial atmosphere! Dinner took place in a kind of art studio, Which also seems to be the living area of the cook/waiter and host. No nonsens, but excellent and freshly cooked meals. You can select out of 3 dishes (veg, non veg and fish) which Differ from day to day depending on the offer of that day. All meals are prepared in his own non professional kitchen which makes it an unforgettable experience. Very limited number of tables are available on his on private terras, so very cosy. In case of bad whether you can dine in his living area!Just go and visit this "restaurant" if you want somerhing else than all 'regular' restos or tourist traps! You will have an unforgettable experience among locals!!Enjoy!"
