"Okay so all of these years later we returned after searching everywhere in Houston for good Greek and not finding it. Unfortunately this place just doesn 't hit the mark for us. Penny was our waitress and she was wonderful. She let us try two white wines to see what we wanted and we picked a very enjoyable white wine. We started with the dips and for $17. I was hoping for some very impressive dips. There are 4 but they 're all okay-good . Unfortunately, none were amazing. The pita was solid though and they do give you more if you need. Now the main dishes are what ensured this place gets a 2 for me. My fiancé got the Yia Yia chicken and I got the stuffed flounder. Neither made sense for the price to us. Chicken isn 't expensive, and his portion was really modest to us. They both came with soup or salad, but neither of those were special enough to offset the lack of the entree. For my stuffed flounder, there was one small shrimp and the crab stuffing was far from plentiful. Flounder on its own isn 't worth $28 and with the small stuffing and one shrimp and a salad, this one still wasn 't worth more than I pay for branzino at other places. The atmosphere is interesting but definitely an older crowd when we went. While Penny did a great job, for $150+ with wine, this meal just didn 't work for us to want to come back."

To die for! The food was excellent, waitress was very knowledgeable of the wine selections. She Picked out a Greek White wine that was perfect with mY food. Beautiful inside, has linen tablecloths and napkins. Full bar. Traditionally Greek food.

I couldn't be more impressed. I wanted to eat at a place that wasn't a chain restaurant. This was exactly what I wanted. Superb service delicious food. Try it out. Yesssss!!! My compliments to the chef. Not the fanciest decor, but that didn't matter. Was elegant and clean

We had mussels with angel hair pasta and Mousaka. The mussels were tender and scrumptious. The Mousaka was mouth-wateringly good. Alexander the Great offers a diverse menu of middle eastern cuisine hence there are many options for the discriminating pallet. I also enjoyed the Retsina wine, which is not easily found at most similar venues. We enjoyed our dining experience at Alexander's and will be back.

Absolutely incredible choice for fun food. I happen to surprise my friend on her b'day. The staffs were so co -operative very amicable. Food was good. And the ultimate experience is the belly dance. It happens only in Friday Saturday 9-9.30pm. But the live concert starts at 7.30 itself. She was amazing and we all gals had a memorable evening with amazing dance. Everyone has to experience this restaurant. View menu

when do we get half stars to use to vote. Alexander......I love you so. Your lemony chicken soup, your flamin Saganaki, your greek crips wines, your excellent staff and the Royal Feast for two. We have been getting coupons from restaurants.com for a while for them. So it cuts the cost. This isn 't Niko 's. Niko 's is great but the lines....lack of tables.... Alexander is a tad more upscale. I haven 't seen the music and dancing but would love to. Just love this place not a single complaint. Prices are a bit higher but still worth it. OH dessert.......I will mangle it Galak...bouroko??? Custard, orangy..... It is yummy too.

We stopped in for a light dinner. The waitress who served us was attentive and personable. When I couldn't decide which white wine I preferred she brought me three choices to taste and recommended a light and fruity white. She brought me a generous glass thereafter! We ordered the appetizer plate and they customized it for our vegetarian preferences. Lots of vegetarian choices on the menu but we were glad we only ordered the cup of lentil soup(made with veggie broth) because the servings were so generous! Food was fresh and delicious! They brought warm toasty bread and dipping oil to start which was heavenly. I had enough leftover appetizers for lunch the next day. We will be back again!

My family and I came here for my Aunt's birthday. Place looks pretty fancy and elegant. Kind of pricy but you're getting a dinner and a show. The music is geared more towards an older crowed (loved it though). Our waitress was so awesome. She was so patient and nice. When you check-in you get a free appetizer of anything under $10. I ordered the hummus. It wasnt the best... But hey it was free! They also give you this olive oil and feta cheese with sliced bread... It's so hard to stop eating. I ordered the gyro platter. So much meat! They definitely give you a generous portion. Not the best gyro plate I have ever had.. Mediocre. Our favorite part was definitely the belly dancing and their ho... View menu

In the area and not in the mood for hotel food. I was referred to the Mexican establishment but located a Greek restaurant in the same plaza. I walked in and was greeted right away and seated. The restaurant was not crowded for dinner. I was served bread and delicious olive oil with cheese. I wanted more but I ordered the $35.00 restaurant month special. It's a 3 course meal. I ordered the shrimp appetizer, salmon entrée, and the sundae. The shrimp appetizer came with peppers n onions in a red sauce. The sauce was suppose to be spicy but it was not. It was very good and a nice serving. The cheese was a nice touch and it added to the flavor of the peppers, onions and shrimp. It came with 3 sh...

4 of us and it was Thursday night. Service started off terribly but she gave our table to another waiter and once he took over things went pretty smooth. They bring you bread with olive oil plate and was good!! The house Greek wine was absolutely delicious. Also started with the stuffed grape leaves and calamari. Both pretty darn good calamari was excellent. They put bechamel sauce on the grape leaves wish they would wrap more leaves but it was good... not great. Portions are good. So three ordered pork chops plate, chicken plate and rib eye. All cooked perfectly. Their playing is very outdated everything pretty much comes with the same thing..potatoes and vegetables and an orange slice. Pla...

"Food good. Location good. Service good. BUT, the hidden charges REALLY ruined an otherwise nice experience. Example: HH menu lists Martinis as a $3 upcharge to the $7 base charge. Fair enough. Bombay is a listed alcohol; requested. When the bill was returned I was charged for a Bombay Sapphire which is not on the HH list. Charge? $11 $3. I asked for Bombay, not Bombay Sapphire. Waiter: Oh, let me look into that. AND, by the way Blue Cheese olives? Extra $1. REALLY? I 've NEVER paid extra for BC olives ANYWHERE. AND the confusing menus that a dish as including an extra sauce, [and I don 't recall the exact language but it made it seem that an additional items could be selected as well. Oops, there goes an extra $10.95. AND, the waiter recommending a twice-baked potato. Bah, boom, another $5.95. [which in fairness is disclosed on the menu in a different location, but waiter made it sound as if it was a no-charge option on the surf and turf. AND the split plate charge which I don 't think was disclosed on the menu. Ding, ding, extra $3.00. Was this a waiter, who was overly up-selling or restaurant deception? Don 't know. As I said, the food WAS good. AND, the ambience [at least in the bar area, stay away of the hotel-ballroom-like main dining area was nice. Just beware the nickel and dime charges that the waiter won 't be disclosing to you."
