"I've passed by Ama a few times and always loved the lively atmosphere and crowd, so I finally decided to stop in during happy hour. We ordered the happy hour oysters (both east and west coast). I preferred the west coast oysters, as they had a delightful hint of sweetness. The ponzu sauce really elevated their flavor! The cocktails were fantastic and a little strong, which I appreciated! We also tried the crispy rice tuna and the crispy oyster bao buns. While the crispy rice tuna was decent, it didn’t quite wow me."

We had an amazing experience! We took advantage of their happy hour, and the staff was very attentive. Our dishes were always fresh and clean with each course. The food was served in a way that kept the table tidy and never felt crowded. We absolutely loved it!

I visited during happy hour when oysters were just $1 each. There are plenty of other options besides oysters in the raw bar section. The staff were friendly, and although they brought us the wrong dishes a couple of times, it didn’t bother us at all. The seafood was very fresh, and the lychee martini was absolutely perfect!

Went here straight from NYPL for their oyster happy hour !! Super satisfied. We sat outside and the staff was still super attentive to us. We got the half East Coast-half West Coast oysters which were super fresh and yummy ? to fill our tummy a bit, we got the Crispy Oyster Bao Buns with yuzu kosho aioli, sesame, and house slaw which were super good : my friend also had the Lychee Martini. Great happy hour experience !! View menu

Prefacing this with the fact that I?ve heard wonderful things about the space, their happy hour, and the fried chicken bun. We went for dinner for some, cocktails for others at about 9pm. Staff was perfectly friendly. We were seated in the back room, which I wouldn?t recommend or choose next time I?m there?not the same atmosphere as the rest of the space. The restaurant was busy, but the four of us were alone in the room. My sister?s food didn?t come, and they brought an

Amazing happy hour spot: $1 east and $2 west coast oysters were fresh and delicious (though the latter had more flavor), lychee martinis were the perfect levels of sweet and alcohol. We also got the chicken bao buns (redundant name lol) and fries- all yummy. Service was fast and attentive and it was just the right amount of crowd at 6pm on a Friday. For 2 people, we probably could?ve walked in but I had made a reservation to be safe since it was our first time here. Will be

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
